Check in process was bizarre - had to fill out a very long form similar to an apartment move-in sheet - detailing each space and then text them to come pick it up during your first day. We found that disruptive and a turn off. The sauna was not working, just labeled “non-functioning”. King bed outside and upstairs above garage. So a not good set up for a family needing to be near kids — if you’re looking for a 3 bedroom with rooms in the same house, not for you. View is nice from the roof but can’t see ocean from main levels. I guess you get what you pay for here. Perfectly functional, affordable but not as clean we’d liked and not comfortable layout for us with kids. Also make sure to note there is not AC and most windows don’t open. But fan in house worked and we were cool at night. Close to town and easy to visit beaches by car. House well stocked with kitchen basics. But bring your own shampoos. Interesting VRBO, overall worked fine.

We needed a house with three separate rooms each with a queen or king bed and 3 separate bathrooms for all the adults. On short notice that was hard to come by. This house had good light with all the windows and nice decks including the roof. There was almost everything we needed in the kitchen to cook all meals there, including a grill and very efficient range.
While the showers (2 out of 3) where a bit small/tight for taller folks, there was enough clean linens for everyone and we only missed having a blow dryer. It was quiet and relaxing and neighbors were quiet as well - just what we had hoped for. An easy 15 minute drive to both Seaside and Astoria, and also close enough to Cannon Beach. That was perfect for the friends who flew into town and had never been to Oregon before.

We loved our stay at the boathouse. Communication with the property management team was absolutely wonderful! The house was clean, and had a great view of the cove. We loved that we could also get to the beach quickly by car or foot. They did have a baby gate and high chair which we found super helpful and convenient especially since there are stairs. I wouldn’t recommend this house with toddler aged kids and probably wouldn’t stay here again with little, littles, but this home is absolutely wonderful for any other aged group!

We’ll be back!!
We loved loved loved the location of this little beach house. Although no beach access (kids were bummed) it holds amazing views of the water and beaches close by!! The mother in law that is included is a steal and makes for great travel with multiple families!! We loved how close it was to the Gearheart Golf corse and a hop right over the bridge to Seaside!! Cannot wait to come back!!

The house is huge! The beach was only a short drive away and it was more private. Super close to seaside! Amazing view on the top deck. The main floor was surrounded by trees and beautiful foliage. It felt like we were in a tree house. Amazing!

This house is surely unique! Great location but not easy to get to the beach. We also loved the private suite above the garage.

Next time bring bug spray for the top patio, very clean, given an improper code which seems like the cleaning people messed up on that on, check in says 5pm on site but when I called they said 3pm while check out says noon on the counter and 10 or 11 per text from them, this should be cleared up so people can plan accordingly. I do love how they helped when I called right away and responded!
