Location is great, about 40 min drive to the volcano park and Mauna Kea (visitor centre), respectively. Not necessarily quiet - you won’t hear traffic, but geckos and birds can be quite loud. It’s also only 5 min drive away from KTA Superstore, which is convenient. The house itself has a lot of windows which provide great ventilation.

HYGIENE. When we first arrived we had to scrub and clean a few pots, plates and mugs for our use, as they were all very dirty. The microwave was too disgusting to use. Kitchen floor was sticky. We spotted at least one cockroach at the dinning/kitchen area a few times and managed to kill one. Mouldy bathtub.
