Ames Hotel & SPA

- This is probably the best location in Vlora: the south beach and the boardwalk is just minutes away. Yet the city centre is not too far away, simply perfect. The north beach is less developed and many would say dirty. If living "south of the tunnel" you leave the city so is nothing to do really for more than a day, and if further south in Vlora you leave the actual beach area and is more like pool beach clubs, and if closer to the city centre, then the beach is further away - The hotel has its own private beach stretch on the beach (so the boardwalk and road is between the beach and the hotel), which is convenient - For being a small boutique hotel, the breakfast is really good - The pool on top is nice, but is of course a pity that two new high rises in front kills the view, but is nice anyway - There is a bike and motobike rental super-close, much recommended, close to the restaurant Liam that is also recommended. And many supermarkets in the area

- It is a small hotel so you don't get the resort feeling, but that does not matter

Good Location

The hotel and the room were nice and clean, we liked the design and the parking lots.

The street in front was very loud as well as the construction site. This was especially disappointing as we specifically booked a room facing the back. After consulting the reception we were told that no other room is free and we were therefore moved in a bigger room facing the front. Unfortunately the staff did not seem to be very understanding or empathetic. This continued throughout our stay.
