Travellers Rest was an amazing place to stay - a real home from home. We stayed for 4 weeks over Christmas and New Year with our two children, aged 11 and 13. This property had absolutely everything we needed and more and is a perfect location. The hosts were super helpful with information before we travelled and when we were there. We would all highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!

Staying at Travelers Rest made for a perfect “home away from home.” The location was ideal for exploring most areas of New River Gorge NP. After hiking every day, it was great to come back to such a warm and comfortable home. House was super clean and very well stocked. Definitely recommend staying here.

Traveler's Rest is all that is advertised and more. Our stay was perfect. Great location for exploring New River Gorge NP and the surrounding area. Immaculately clean, modern, with all the comforts of home. Restaurants/shopping close by. Quiet neighborhood (some traffic noise, but the bedrooms are in the back of the house and not affected). Would definitely return to the area (lots to do) and stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

The property is so much greater than the pictures do it justice. The outside is nice but the inside is wonderful! It is very tastefully decorated, making it feel cozy and like home. Everything looks and feels brand new. It is obvious the home has been updated amazingly well. All of the amenities were there that we could need and we stayed for a week. It appears maybe guests leave things for other guests which is so kind. We left a Keurig there but they had a regular coffee maker and a pod coffee maker just not the keurig. Our way of “paying it forward”. The beds were super comfortable, as was the living room furniture (and the bean bag chairs downstairs) and there was so much more room in the house than we imagined.
The property is so close to everything, including restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, outdoor activities, New River Gorge, etc. We felt very safe, even sitting outside every night on the patio. It really was perfect for us and we enjoyed every single day there. We even spoke to a neighbor one day who was very friendly and outgoing.

Very clean. Looks like recently remodeled. Was a smoke smell when first arrived which dissipated over the first evening so don’t know if from previous tennant or cleaner

We were two older couples and stayed for 3 nights. Nearby New River Gorge National Park is split between multiple locations, but the house is ideally located between most of them. It's also close to restaurants and supermarkets. The house has two bedrooms, the master with a queen bed and its own bathroom, and a second bedroom with two double beds. The second bedroom made use of the hallway bathroom.The kitchen is well appointed with lots of little extras. I've never seen a rental with more storage containers.We even used the garage since it rained a bit on us. They nicely provided the remote for us to use.The living room and dining room were nice. Our stay was in early July so we had the A/C at 74. The main level was comfortable, but the TV room downstairs was freezing. Overall the place was a great place for two couples to spend a few days.

The house is beautiful and conveniently located near the New River Gorge entrances. We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for our 3 generations of family to eat and rest and sleep.

Travelers' Rest was home for me and my best friend during our annual road trip. The home was well-appointed, super clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and close to the main road. The Rest made an excellent home base for day trips to New River Gorge National Park, and everything you could need (restaurants, grocery stores, and shops) is conveniently located to the house. Thanks to the owners, check in was seamless and clear instructions for access and check-out were provided well in advance. We will definitely stay again should we find ourselves in the area!

Stayed here to meet up with my sister and her family and see the New River Gorge. This place was extremely comfortable and safe for the small children we had there. Loved all the intentional homey touches and the well equipped kitchen. This is definitely the place to stay if you're in Beckley!

We enjoyed our stay!
This house was perfect for our trip! We are making a 5 state trip with our children and this was our half way point/ laundry day. We were able to pull our car into the garage and plug it into their 110v wall outlet which worked great! Highly recommended this property to anyone with children, ours loved the kids area downstairs where they could hangout and watch their own tv!TV!! Thank you again!

The kitchen had everything we needed. We would suggest mats or handicap bars for the showers and the repair of the outside storm window in the living room. The windy winter storm had us concerned that the glass might fall out. The house was newly remodeled and had attractive furniture and pictures. We loved the New River Gorge Bridge and Sand Springs Waterfall pictures and would like information on where we could get copy ourselves!! Thanks for providing such a clean cozy home. Susan Bigelow

The home was very clean, comfortable, and well supplied. The basement was a nice addition for my grandchild, nice large play area and a tv where we could play his children shows. The area has a lot to offer and definitely more in the spring/summer time. We will definitely come back as the price was also just right.

Beautiful property. Just perfect!
This home was everything we needed after a long day of adventures. Beautifully decorated and very homey. Nice location a short drive off the main road through town. Would be perfect for a family with kids. The basement had a very cool hang-out area for watching movies with giant bean bag chairs that kids AND adults would love.
