The property was amazing. We had EVERYTHING we could think of and the outdoor shower was amazing. Our kiddos were able to navigate the space easily and all the adults felt right at home. The access to the town beach was perfect for us and our roddlers. Can't wait to come back.

We loved our stay on West Island. It is a hidden gem. House was as described. It was clean and well appointed. The beach is a short trip. Kids loved the Island creamery. I would stay here again.

We rented this property for 42 days. The property looks good and in a good area, however there were a lot of problems the entire stay.
We were without hot water upstairs for about 2 weeks. The outside lights were taped shut by the owner so we had no outdoor lighting.
The smoke detectors went off and the fix was to turn off the breaker. No working smoke detectors for over a week. Owners were notified by the town that the water would be on/off for the month of July. The water was dirty and sometimes no water at all. We should have been notified. The owner lives next door and came in the house unannounced multiple times.
This was a very stressful stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean comfortable and very well stocked. It was as described and there was plenty of room for us (6 adults) Sheila was very responsive to every question we had, including she promptly located a couple of items we left behind. We have the added bonus of family within close walking to this house. Thank you again we had a wonderful weekend, we would definitely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, spacious and properly stocked for our needs. The neighborhood was quiet although there were a few houses nearby undergoing construction. The beach was a few minutes drive from the house and it was very nice. We took walks around the neighborhood and through the trails near the house. The owner was very responsive and the communications were very helpful. We definitely recommend this house if you are looking for a quiet vacation spot!

We enjoyed this beach house every day. So cozy and comfortable and welcoming. The neighbors were friendly too! Clean home with access to all kinds of fun close by. Thank you again for a great stay.

We had a great stay at this cottage. It was just as described and felt like a cozy home that you can tell is well taken care of. We have stayed at many different cottages on the island and this was bar far one of our favorites! There were so many amenities, we especially appreciated having access to the washer/dryer. The wrap around deck & patio furniture were also great for gathering and eating outside. Communication with the Owner was also very easy and responsive. We look forward to many more visits to this wonderful Island!

As always, the Island Is great, I have been coming to the Island for six years, but unfortunately the cost of a rental is too cost prohibited.
Owners are becoming less friendly, neighbors do not like if you have company and park a car or two on the street ( per the owner) will have to look for another location next year !

Picture Perfect
This home was in a fantastic location for day trips to all the touristy fun nearby but tucked away in its own peaceful natural playground. We loved all the trails, digging for clams and relaxing on the beach. There's even an ice cream shop and restaurant within walking distance. The house was roomy and comfortable for our family if five. The host was quick to respond to our questions and left the home very well stocked for our visit. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Great getaway on a tranquil Island
The house was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our family (with teen girls!) Easy day trips to the Cape, Newport etc. We loved ending the day on the wrap around deck.

Best kept secret!
My family and I had a wonderful week! The weather and town beach were perfect. Locals were kind and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed eating at all the local restaurants.
Sheila was a joy to work with and very accommodating. The house had all the necessities and amenities needed for a relaxing and pleasant vacation. We cannot wait to go back!

The house is very comfortable and beautifully decorated! The island is as charming as could be. When we were out walking, lots of people waved hello. The host was super responsive to my variety of questions. Couldn't be better! Can't wait to come back for another visit!

Great place!
Lovely, very clean and well-appointed home in a pretty area, very close to the water and lots of other attractions. My husband, two sons and I had a wonderful few days. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had 6 family members coming from Maine, Mass., and Rhode Island. This home was just what we needed for a long weekend get-together. The neighborhood is quiet. The home is very comfortable. The deck was really nice for relaxing and visiting with each other. I can't think of anything that was lacking. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Fairhaven area.

Fantastic place for a getaway
This is absolutely one of the sweetest rental properties we've found in this area. The owners have done a great job of updating this house while making it cozy. All of the amenities and thoughtful additions such as beach chairs, ice packs and a wonderful porch to eat on were such a nice touch! We had 3 generations ( from 21 year Olds to grandparents in their 70's) and had plenty of space. Everything was super clean and welcoming. The Island itself was beautiful and people were so friendly. We spent a lot of time on the beach so the beach pass was great! Thank you Alex and Sheila- we would not hesitate to recommend your house to anyone!

This was a great house for the price. Very well stocked and clean. Bikes, beach chairs, cooler available for use was a nice bonus. The weather was not great so we weren’t able to enjoy all the island had to offer but we would return. FYI, there is a fox in the neighborhood that is not afraid of humans- don’t be surprised when you see him!

This was a great house for the price. Very well stocked and clean. Bikes, beach chairs, cooler available for use was a nice bonus. The weather was not great so we weren’t able to enjoy all the island had to offer but we would return. FYI, there is a fox in the neighborhood that is not afraid of humans- don’t be surprised when you see him!

Beautiful island cottage
We were very excited to find this house and really enjoyed our stay! The owners were communicative throughout and the house was as described. The layout was perfect for our family and we loved the amenities and location on West Island. It was a great house in a quiet, safe neighborhood - perfect for what we were looking for.
