The house was great, beautiful property and views/wildlife amazing. Kitchen was well stocked and linens plentiful. We saw a deer and many birds. Some things could be improved though. The mattresses upstairs could use updating. The king bed upstairs is very soft, in one of the twin bedrooms the beds are rock solid, and the other twin bedroom the mattresses are squishy (may not even be real mattresses). The upstairs bathroom has a tiny tall tub. The exterior light was not working/connected. The downstairs bathroom could use curtains so that if people are using the bathroom the people in the driveway cannot see you. We had a great stay. Switches and outlets are quirky. These things did not ruin our stay but some improvements could help others.

Location was fantastic for seeing wildlife (osprey, eagle, loons, deer) as well as ease of getting around the island. Just what we were looking for! Better lighting to play games in the evening would've been nice, and the kitchen could use better knives and skillets, but the beds were comfortable, and the pluses far outweighed the minuses. Would gladly come again!!

The cottage looked small from outside but very roomy inside. We enjoyed watching ospreys hunting fish, quiet sounds of streams running right next to the property, and the convenience of being on the island to visit many attractions of the NP. We could make lobster dinner with their huge pots. More than plenty towels were supplied.

This property has a lot going for it. The location is great, on a beautiful lake, close to both sides of mdi, ideal in a lot of ways. It has a great deck and living area which we enjoyed every day. The space however didn’t meet our expectations at the price we paid (Vrbo doesn’t allow us to say prices). It was not well cleaned when we arrived, dust, spider webs, and a very musty smell persisted all week. This building is definitely older, a cabin that was expanded with all the quirks that come with that- weird placement of switches (including on the counter by the sink, a bathroom light outside of the bathroom and a bedroom light hidden behind the open bedroom door??), the upstairs bathroom was very poorly laid out with a slanted roof (hard even for my short family), and a shower with a large (2’) step to get in. The kitchen had no space for dry food storage other than the limited counters which made for a challenge in cooking. All these things are fine at a reasonable price. I would wholeheartedly give this 5 stars if it cost less. However, given the price our party expected more.
