Excellent apartment, clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of storage space if required. The kitchen area was small but sufficient for our needs.

There was nowhere to stop a car outside or near to the apartment. Parking in Cork is a major headache. On street parking is space and controlled between 8.30am and 6.30pm. After 6.30 it is a task to find a space somewhere within walking distance of the apartment.

Lovely and stylish apartment, so close to the city so was ideal. Apartment was stocked up with refreshments and breakfast items for us. Host was easy to contact for any questions.

No issues all was perfect

1 Comfortable, clean, warm and large apartment with plenty of amenities such as large TV with usual streaming channels. 2 Easy walk to all cork’s big-city attractions including clubs and major shops. 3 Responsive owner (Bernie) via WhatsApp - e.g., shower head needed fixing - only a minor issue - but it was done v quickly. 4 Near north river so pleasant walking and park nearby.

1 No car parking made available to us - though we asked for it several months before arrival. If you are staying more than a couple of nights with a car, suggest consider prearranging parking with a private provider (e.g. Q Park) to get a cheaper daily rate; otherwise overnight parking costs 40 euros a night approximately. In theory parking on nearby roads is free in the evening and up to 8:30am but in practice, at least in our experience, you have to be v lucky indeed to find a spot. 2 Immediately outside the apartment is unattractive - other buildings attached appear to be semi-derelict and covered in graffiti etc. Not a good first impression! 3 Breakfast was left in kitchen in advance. Consisted of, for example, Aldi cheese slices; prepackaged croissants (half of which were 2 weeks out of date when we arrived); packs of instant oats; butter and jam; various cereals; coffee machine; couple of pints of milk; fruit yoghurts and apples and satsumas. Not much was to our taste and no choice was offered in advance so “breakfast included” was mostly a waste of money for us. 4 Apartment needed a bit of a refresh. Scuff marks in bedroom and bathroom floor tiles loose for example. 5 WiFi variable speed and sometimes a lot of buffering on TV. 6 No laundry detergent provided so unable to use washer dryer.

Size. Laundry machine available. Kitchen facilities good.

Located right beside hospital. Too many emails from the office-site owner/manager. Demands for damage deposit. Shower fluctuating temperatures. Dining table wobbly.
