Gypsy Wind is a beautiful property! We felt like we spent a week in paradise. Waking up to the ocean view was priceless! The house had an endless supply of beach supplies which made it easy to load up and spend the day at the beach. The kids and adults loved the pool after our day at the beach. The ice machines were amazing to keep up with our island drinks. The kitchen was stocked for all of our needs. Prior to our visit there were a few things that we requested and the owner was more than happy to supply them for us prior to our arrival. Linda is very accommodating and is very open to any suggestions to make every guests stay enjoyable. We were able to treat our family and grandkids to a meal prepared by Becca, the private chef, and the food was amazing! Enjoying this wonderful meal out on the deck with the ocean view was priceless! Bill, the property manager, was johnny on the spot to help with anything we needed. This was our second stay on the island and would recommend this property to anyone. North Captiva is truly a relaxing piece of paradise!

We just returned from a week's stay, and I can honestly say it was perhaps the best vacation our family has ever experienced. Our group of 11 had ample room to roam, sleep, dine and enjoy exploring the island in the two, six-passenger electric golf carts included with the rental. From start to finish, communication with the property owner and interaction with the onsite Management Team was exceptional. We were even welcomed by a fully-costumed Easter Bunny which was remarkable considering the temperature was in the mid-80's upon our arrival! The private pool, close proximity to the beach and water and the beautifully furnished home created a relaxing and fun-filled week. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a spacious and well-kept home surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty. I am certain you will not be disappointed!

The host and this house is a 10 star property if I could. The pictures do not do justice the beauty and amount of space you will have. The communication with the host Linda is the best I ever experienced in renting vacation homes. The transportation to the island was excellent and the Gypsy Wind caretaker crew was waiting once we arrived by boat. We were greeted and excellent taken care of. The views to the ocean from the house, the screened in decks, the kayaks, the paddle boards, the pool, the garden, the direct access to the beach, there is just too much to write. We are already planning to come back next year. Gypsy Wind is a true gem and the host Linda is excellent to work with. Thanks for sharing your amazing house. We had a wonderful time and just did not want to leave. We saw dolphins from the deck many days.

Our family stayed at Gypsy Wind this past week. The accommodations we beyond what we expected. The staff was top notch and we had Chef Becca come in and do a dinner for us. It was such a treat and the food was wonderful. We just had to sit back and enjoy. We wanted a vacation that we did nothing and that is what we got. We all relaxed, the guys went fishing and caught us dinner for one night and my daughters and I went to Captiva for the day to the farmers market and had lunch. We will for sure go back and stay at this home.

We went there over the new year and it was PERFECT!! Becca and Bill were awesome and took great care of our every need. We even had chef Becca cook us a New Years Eve dinner that was amazing. Can't say enough good things about Gypsy Wind. I highly recommend staying here!!

What an amazing adventure for grandparents, adult kids and grandkids alike! Our dream vacation began with a conversation with Linda, the most gracious hostess ever. She welcomed all my questions and offered great advice. The logistics of an island vacation can be daunting but she guided me through it all, along with an incredibly detailed app specifically for Gypsy Wind! Yes, they have their own app! We chose to go with a. private charter to get to the island and that took so much stress off because all our luggage and groceries were not at risk of getting mixed up with others. The private charter cost was almost the same as the ferry but with such personal service. Upon arrival on the Island, the GW caretaker crew met us. They were so much fun and took such great care of us. They felt like family. The home itself is spectacular and has EVERYTHING. The decorations are gorgeous and even whimsical. The setting allowed the kids to be little explorers as they came upon tortoises, manatees, lizards. birds AND caught the biggest fish of their young lives. We enjoyed the pleasure of a simpler lifestyle but pampered with incredible luxury. NO CARS, NO SCHEDULE, NO SHOES...toes in the sand and eyes on beauty is the way to go. Discovering shells was a blast. I wish I could give this whole experience a ten instead of a five. Warm, sweet memories now are etched into our souls. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Great time at North Captiva and Gypsy Wind! Linda was awesome to work with. Rented boat at Boats and Fun. Very nice house, pool and beach. Saw dolphins and manatees up close. Would definitely go back.

If you have the chance to go to North Captiva island this is the place to stay. Now we just need to figure out when we can go back again.

When everyone was done at the beach it was a short walk back to the house for quick wash down in the outdoor shower and then a jump in the pool. The sunsets were breathtaking and the wildlife was a plus from the Osprey nest to the turtles and the geckos. The house comes equipped with plenty of board games and lawn games so there was always something to do. This house was just what our family of 14 needed for a week of fun and relaxation.
