Very quiet.
Very private
Outside on the outdoor area taking in the evening was superb.
Well appointed with everything you needed.
Only 6 minutes to town.

Comfort and amenities were excellent. Provisions provided for breakfast were very good. The place was very roomy indeed, with lots of space where the guests could just stretch out and relax.
The only thing that I did not really like was the absence of a TV. Then again, this might actually appeal to some people.

Loved the privacy and cleanliness. Thoughtful provisions were left in place.
There are a couple of misleading pictures that allude to the availability of a fire pit outdoors. We were also told council prevents outdoor fires, which is incorrect. There are designated fire ban seasons. It is fine if the property wishes to exclude the use of outdoor fires but should declare that on the website or property description as the photos clearly indicate an outdoor fire space as much as they tried to defend that the pictures don’t.  one more disappointment was the lack of dry firewood provisions – particularly kindling and fire starters for the internal fireplace.  as much as they tried to defend that the pictures don’t.

location was absolutely beautiful!! it was so nice to get away from the busy city life and shut off from reality for the weekend!

Spacious with all mod cons. Heated floors in the two bathrooms already programmed for mornings and evenings! Great wood fire that heated very efficiently and extra heaters for bedrooms. A wonderful kitchen area with a generously stocked pantry and great breakfast supplies. A short drive to Clare and/or numerous wineries as well as beautiful countryside. A super cozy place in beautiful Australian bushland with kangaroos seen in early evening.
Absolutely nothing!!! No TV, which lended itself to great Scrabble games.

We enjoyed everything about staying at Benny's Retreat. There were 6 of us and it was perfect.Great location and the breakfast supplied was a great extra touch.

great location in the country 5 min from Clare. Modern facilities, well proviosned kitchen in a quiet location.

Serene location hidden in the bush. Roomy house in a very picturesque spot. Lots of birds and a few kangaroos around. A great blend of the old cottage housing the kitchen and dining, complemented by the new wing with three bedrooms, bathrooms and living area.

This place is absolutely amazing and the setting is beautiful. Great house and facilities are modern and clean.
There is no TV, which my co-workers freaked out about, but when you are staying out in the beautiful countryside like this, no TV is a bonus.'
We deffinitely made use of the BBQ!

the property was excellently provisioned in a great location - amidst bushland and so peaceful and quiet which was exactly what we were after. I was impressed that there was no TV a bold move in this day. it was a lovely walk to town as we wer quite lucky with the weather

I think the. BF provisions should have been in proper packaging ( labels with ingredients and exp dates given two people in the house had allegies . Cereals were good

A nice bush setting, beautiful house that had everything we needed, fireplace kept us toasty & warm and close to wineries & town

It was a wonderful, the beds were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked. Breakfast left for us to cook our selves was lovely.
The only thing we could have used was a dryer. The weather was very wet and we had trouble drying our washing.

Great location just outside Clare. Great kitchen and laundry facilities. Spacious separate lounge with dining area which were kept nice ad warm with the split system heating. The location is very private away from town lights, great for viewing stars at night. The heated bathroom floors were a lovely bonus!

Benny's Retreat was exceptional we loved it. The beds were comfy, the home clean and very comfortable. The fully stocked kitchen was lovely. We will be back.

Gorgeous property with everything you would need for a long or short stay. Well equipped luxury melding old with new. The pretty location with friendly parrots just a short drive from town. Wished we had longer. great value for money. loved the two wood heaters and underfloor heating in bathrooms. There was also RC aircon while the wood fires heated up.

The cottage is beautifully renovated. The rustic look with quality touches. The cosy fire in the large open plan living room with huge windows looking out to the bush was perfect for our girls weekend away.
Breakfast provisions were great.
We could not get phone coverage unless in the kitchen & we could not get the speaker that was provided to work to play any music.

it would be a nice addition to have at least a small/medium size television in the main lounge …. or at least a large monitor screen to stream to via chrome cast or hdmi (especially for the tennis and footy seasons!) .

Conveniently close to Clare and wineries but still gave a sense of isolation. Character house with all the comforts.
Kept awake the second night by some creature scratching at something. Considering the environment, it is not surprising that wildlife is scratching about. Problem remedied by moving to 3d bedroom so no big deal.
