We enjoyed our stay at Kokomo Joe’s! Family of 6 and plenty of room for everyone. Very clean and no issues with any of the amenities. Though not needed, the extras for young kids was a thoughtful touch (pack n play, baby gates). We definitely used the beach wagon and boogie boards and the garage was also a nice addition! If I had one suggestion, it would be curtains in the bedrooms. The sun rises early at the beach! We usually prefer to stay on the beach, but the shuttle was pretty efficient and easy to use. It’s really the best way to access the beach since it’s a 15 min walk and across the highway. Not too crowded, though I can imagine it might be during peak summer season. Same with the beach club pool and bigger pool. We didn’t realize there was a pool further back in the complex until the second day. Went there once and it wasn’t crowded. Kids loved it! We used the beach club pool more often as it was really nice to have access to a pool right on the beach for those who preferred it over the sand. The bar and restaurant were also nice to have right on the beach and the food and drinks were good!We had a great time and would stay again! Thanks to the hosts for excellent accommodations!

It's a very nice property and the neighborhood reminded me of "Stepford" if you get the reference. Almost like too perfect. There are quite a few rules to pay attention to if you don't want to get fined...which is mostly understandable. My kids and their small dog stayed with us for a week and they loved it.The weather was warm most of the time so the pools (the one at the clubhouse across the street and the one on the Lost Key property) were often crowded with no chairs available which, obviously, is a disappointment but not entirely unexpected. The locale for both pools is nice.It's about a half mile walk to the beach but there is a shuttle if you don't wish to walk. I walked.There is a nice Publix store about two miles away. And there are plenty of nice restaurants within, say, 10 miles.It's a nice place if you like to be close to family because the main floor is basically one big room with kitchen, dining and living room all in one "open concept" setting. Other than that, you go to your bedroom for quiet and privacy. There is golf and tennis nearby which is nice if you're into those things...we aren't.We thought it was really nice that there were a bunch of "amenities" such as a gas grill, beach chairs, boogie boards, bicycles, a corn hole game and probably other stuff I'm not remembering. We didn't use those things but nice they were available.I was grateful that the host allowed us a late checkout for a reasonable fee.

Great location, beautiful house. The shuttle was fantastic. Private beach club was fantastic. Would definitely go back!

Highly recommend Kokomo Joe’s! This is our 2nd time staying and we couldn’t have been more happy with the accommodations and hosts. Highly recommend and we’ll be back for our annual fall break trip next year. Thank you, Patty!!
