Rock Grand View

Before booking, I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, especially the negative ones. However, I decided to give it a try, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. My experience was much better than I expected. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the waterfall view was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. They also kindly arranged a taxi for us for our onward journey, which made everything much easier and more convenient. In my experience, not everything you read in negative reviews necessarily reflects the full reality of a place. I genuinely enjoyed my stay here and would happily recommend Rock Grand View to anyone planning to visit Ella. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. I will definitely remember this place as one of my favourite stays in Ella!

Thanks so much for such a beautiful stay. Short walk along the tracks to town, nice quiet location and amazing breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We had a wonderful stay here. The highlight was the beautiful waterfall right in front of the property, which made the view from our room truly special. The staff were very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. They also arranged a taxi for us to continue to our next destination, which made our trip much easier and stress-free. We really appreciated the hospitality and personal service throughout our stay. A lovely place to stay in Ella, especially if you enjoy nature and peaceful surroundings.

A gorgeous view from this rustic little spot. Staff would arrange tuktuks and were always available in person or by WhatsApp. Breakfasts were tasty. The location is a bit outside of the main town however that's a positive since it can be noisy and full of diesel fumes. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk along the train tracks into town. Or you could the other way for a lovely hike to Ella Rock.

It's no frills and there's no air conditioning but Ella was relatively cool in the evenings. If you opened the windows, mosquitoes would come in at night so be sure to use the mosquito net over the bed. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were strong and hot however it does spray everywhere in the washroom (not separately enclosed) so be mindful of your things getting wet.
