Couldnt charge my device as the usb doesn’t fit the cord.

Relaxing, peaceful retreat with most amazing views and luxury of nature all around. We enjoyed the Dassie trail! We enjoyed relaxing on the Veranda overlooking the dam and watching the birds. Host was very friendly and accommodating.

Only available firelighter ran out of gas.

The veiw was incredible. We slept amazing. And we recharged well.

We had a lovely stay at Leopard Valley Eco Retreat. The view is breathtaking, the setting peaceful, and we slept really well. That said, there are some serious issues that future guests should be aware of. The outdoor shower has no door or privacy screen, so hikers on the nearby trail can see straight in — very uncomfortable. The retreat advertises a jacuzzi but doesn’t make it clear that you have to buy firewood separately to use it. Firewood is R50 a bag on site or a 36-minute drive away, which feels like advertising lights but then charging extra for electricity. Lastly, the kitchen bin had melted holes and some utensils (like the egg spatula) had clear signs of rat damage. For the price of the stay, these are basic things that should be fixed and maintained. The location is beautiful, but these issues took away from what could have been an excellent experience.
