We had a girls long weekend and wish we could've stayed longer. Beautiful place! There were 9 of us and several were going to stay in the cottage, but it just seem cozy and warm so we all stayed in the house which worked out completely fine. The cottage was very clean and nice, i just think it would be better in the summer, we were there in the fall. We loved being by the water and took the kayaks out, and had a wonderful fire one nite. Loved the walk down to the water, but it is quite a steep and longer walk, so i wouldn't recommend it for anyone that has any walking physical disabilities. Wish we could've used the pool, maybe next time out.

Very nice place and location.
Loved the separate cabin where the older kids were able to stay separate from the adults.
Only issue was that the pool was not usable as it was dirty and green - late in the season but we still were hoping to be able to take a dip (especially the young kids)

This property was perfect for our extended family. The grandchildren loved the yard and had many whiffle ball, football and soccer games! The pool was an added perk that everyone enjoyed! We had a great week, that flew by way to fast.

The house was very clean, spacious, and beautiful. We played games on the front lawn and used the pool and played some of the family games available at the house. We had and amazing time and would definitely return with a large group.

Everything was just awesome. We rented a house to celebrate our wedding with a small group of people at this location. Everybody admired the beauty of the house and surrounding area. Hosts are the nicest people. They showed us the house in advance so we made sure that it could meet our needs. I would just say that the living room is a little bit smaller than we would prefer. But we fell in love with this wooden house and the atmosphere inside, so we did not want to look further. Highly recommend this place.

Had a really great time, both homes on property were well kept and allowed for our large family to have enough room. We made a lot of great memories! Owner was quick to respond with questions.

The location could not be beat. Private, beautiful river. We loved the kayaks and canoe and the pool was a godsend for our children as the lake proved too cold for us wimps. The house was comfortable and well appointed. The host was very responsive.

Fantastic Location for Family Time
Our family group of 15, ranging in age from 4 months to 65, arriving from Vermont, Michigan and Oregon, greatly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen worked well for prep of large meals. The location is quiet. We played croquet on the lawn, and ping pong in the gaming cottage. The gorgeous oaks and white pines shade the path down to the dock. We canoed several times. The pool was very often the center of recreation for the children. We saw only two seals but saw osprey and blue herons often.

Golf Weekend
Overall stay was excellent and everything was just as expected. Rooms were comfortable, pool was clean, wood piled for firepit, all rooms very clean, and 2 level deck provided plenty of room. Communication was quick, last minute request was accomodated quickly. No complaints with any aspect, would definelty recommend.

Manny items considered necessities are not stocked such as kitchen towels and potholders. The selling point of this property is the outside activities for the warmer months.

Peaceful and relaxing vacation
This property was a perfect fit for our group of high school friends ‘75, to meet up for our annual vacation. It’s close enough to Booth Bay Harbor to drive for shopping and great restaurants nearby. The pool is a plus as the river comes in and out with the tide. The only drawback was lack of air conditioning. During the day the humidity is high but the nights are cool in Maine.
