We stayed here with friends - walking distance to the beach, close to some local restaurants and about an hour away from Charleston. The house came as pictured and has tons of games for families/friends to play. We used the charcoal grill and cooked many mornings in the well furnished kitchen. The only critique we would have is there are limited necessities (only 2 trash bags, 1 roll of paper towels and 1 towel per person) which would not be a problem if you are not staying for a week or more. We would come back here!

Harmony Shores was a wonderful setting for our family gathering! It had plenty of space for our group of 6 adults. It was clean, comfortable and nice. The kitchen was large enough for several of us to be in there at the same time, and had most everything we needed. I would rent it again if the opportunity comes up. The weather was perfect.

Best house ever rented at Edisto! Large rooms, well built house, furnished beautifully, immaculate, everything provided, close to beach access. This house is perfect, right down to three recliners! Bathrooms have safety grab bars and one has a walk-in shower. We loved this house. Thank you so much for allowing my family to experience it.

Perfect family getaway
We stayed at this lovely home with my brother and his kids. The layout was perfect for our family 4 adults, and 4 children. We all had our own private bed/bed and multiple nice common area. We especially enjoyed the front and back decks for social time and meals. This was a very kid friendly home and very clean with minimal clutter. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes/cutlery for our family meals. We also loved the short walk to the beach.

Great home for a big family
Everything about the house was great! Plenty of space for the whole family. One downside we had was the tv in the master and one of the other bedrooms was not working. Short walk to the beach was perfect.

This year, our annual visit to Edisto was as enjoyable as ever....even with the covid pandemic. We have stayed at Harmony Shores for several years and are beginning to feel like it is our “home away from home“. Just a quick two or three minute walk from beach access, this lovely home could not be situated more perfectly. Going the week after Labor Day, the beaches tend to be much less crowded than when we have been there in July or August, so we highly recommend considering a visit then. Harmony Shores is spacious, clean, modern and well equipped for a week’s stay. When we have had a minor issue, the Atwood staff has always been quick to assist.

Beautiful home in a beautiful beach town
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beach house was clean and amply supplied with everything we required. We were also told beforehand what to bring so that was another good thing. With 3 families and 5 kids all the open space was a life saver. Our kids had so much fun. But the best part was its close proximity to the beach. We loved the quiet walks to the beach. I will recommentd this place to anyone in a hearbeat.

Unfortunately, we were scheduled to be at Harmony Shores the week that Hurricane Florence decided to approached the Carolinas. We Che Jed in on Saturday, Sept. 8 and were informed of a mandatory evacuation of the island on Sept. 10. We departed early the next morning. We LOVED staying at Harmony Shores. We have rented that home four years in a row and have already rescheduled for next week. This home is always so welcoming and nice. The owner should be very proud to offer their place to guests. I am just sorry that we were not able to stay the full week.. I have to commend Atwood, however...we were given full credit for our unused portion of the week towards our rental for next year.
