The location and the view from the apt. The quietness of the place. We had direct contact with the owners. Restaurants and reykjadalur trek toward hot springs are nearby. Blue lagoon is a one hour drive. We stayed twice (one day each time) in this apt: at the start and at the end of our trip.

Krissa, the host, made sure we reached the doorstep through another route because there was heavy snow. The facility had a lot of issues, all of which Krissa has taken note of and have promised to fix before the next guests arrive. Hot water was available Kitchen made it easy for us to prepare food Krissa allowed us to check out at 11:30 am

Heating in the room was not adequate. We slept with 3 layers.. The WC heating didn't work completely. One of the legs of the beds were broken so the bed was wobbling the entire night. The sink smelled really bad when the water went through. There were gas bubbles coming up at certain intervals in the commode which brought with it pathetic smell.

The room is warm in a humid foggy night, I would like to appreciate the bathroom, really nice. it’s not chilly when u step on the floor.

a cat came by the door. he’s polite and in good manner. However he looks cold and hungry, so I let him in and treated him some yogurt and hot fish soup. the poor guy was starving and his health condition seems not good, probably due to aging. I sincerely hope the owner can help the poor little creature.

New, clean, well equipped, nice view, nice staff.

The rain broke the quiet during the night, other than that, there is nothing to complain about.

Perfect base for our trip to West and South Iceland. All the facilities you need in a small but perfectly formed modern apartment. Will definitely use Stryta again on my next visit to this wonderful country. Host communication was excellent and friendly. Bonus of a beautiful Icelandic Sheep Dog coming to see us on the day we left :)
