Location and very good communication with hosts.

It can be noisy at night but that’s to be expected when the location is so central. Bring earplugs.

Location was excellent - there are fantastic restaurants all around, and an Aldi supermarket is just a 7-minute walk away. It is also a convenient 12-to-15-minute walk from the train station, making it incredibly easy to connect with the rest of Italy. The apartment itself was comfortable and equipped with everything you would need for a short stay.

Nothing

Convenient location midway between train station and central plaza. Room includes a sitting area and kitchenette. Very clean.

Very last minute instructions from the host, required us to text from the front door to prompt them to unlock the door remotely. But we didnt have cell service or wifi info. Hosts didn't know if their wifi would work from outside the front door. It did work but the hosts took 15 minutes to open the door remotely, despite our arrival precicely at the time we told them we'd be there. The room, on "2nd floor", was the 4th landing, after climbing 35 stairs. Neighbors were partying loudly through the night on a Thursday. The noise echoed throughout the building. Unable to make coffee in the room because it was supplied with a stovetop espresso pot, but the stove wouldn't operate.

The location was perfect. Close to the train station, a wonderful bakery and restaurant, and the main piazza of Bologna

The step into the bathroom.
