The property was as described, the beach access is just across the road. The house was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and lots of games etc. will definitely recommend. We were 6adults, 2 kids and a dog and it did not feel crowded at all.

Jim's house was great for my family get together of 8 people. We had to navigate around a storm at the end of the week, but we felt secure the whole time. Thanks again!

We needed to find a property last minute and thankfully this home was available. The location was perfect with access to the beach directly across the street and all of the shops and restaurants of Surf City just minutes away. Even with the great location, the street / neighborhood was very quiet. We loved our evenings on the deck listening to the ocean waves.

We had a wonderful vacation! Absolutely no complaints.

My family and I traveled from out of town to stay with friends from high school. I could not be more pleased with the location of the property. The house was in great condition with comfortable furniture. We had more than enough room for everyone. It was well worth the expense. The owners were extremely responsive. The check in process was easy and the house was clean. We were able to cook meals at home on great cookware. I highly recommend this property.

This is a nice rental. The location one row from the ocean is great. And the proximity to town (1/2 mile) is perfect. Sunrise from the front deck and even nicer on the beach, and sunsets from the back deck. The owner is very easy to work with and was quickly responsive to a couple “questions” we had. Very clean and comfortable family home with an excellent location. The ocean is across the street, an easy walk to Surf City about 15 minutes. Several good restaurants in Surf City or within a few minutes drive. Small but very interesting Missile Museum close by. We will probably be booking again next year!

The home seems to be newly remodeled, we loved the look and feel of the fully stocked kitchen , and updated tile in the en-suite bathrooms. The queen beds in the two bedrooms on the second floor got rave reviews for comfort, but the king on the second floor and the queen in the loft area were a bit too soft for our liking. Other highlights include sunset views on the back deck and the selection of fun games. All in all a great vacation home in a great little beach town.

'Had such a great time relaxing with my kids. The property was very clean, the neighborhood is quiet and the beach is right across the street. I loved having morning coffee on the deck and watching the waves. The kitchen has everything you need, my boys loved the bunk bed room. Since I came from a long distance I was extra grateful that they provide linens and beach towels! We found a yummy ice cream place with the rollerskating rink upstairs. Can't wait to go back.

This home is stunning! I went on a mini vacation with my husband and kids! The home was so clean and the fully stocked kitchen was heaven sent! I love being able to cook and have what i need! The kids were able to do cyber on there computers loved having wifi! The store was a 4 minute drive for my every needs! The views and being able to have relaxing views and sounds from the deck in the patio chairs! The kids had so many toys and beach things to borrow during our stay! Great washer and dryer I was able to pack light! I loved that they had a high chair and things for the baby and kids! Games and magnet tiles they loved it! The showers were great and had showerheads that can be handheld was perfect for the kids! Also the outside shower from getting sand in the home was so nice. Overall the house has everything and more. It's so accommodating! Super point for being family friendly and keeping my kids happy while giving the hubby and I a break! Also there is a cute icecream shop near the pier and the pier was so close we could walk and was a super location! Check in and out was perfect and a breeze! Everything sent to email and Jim sent us information if we needed it or anything! We didn't have a single thing we needed or any problems! We were so close to the stores and had access to grocery delivery to meet us when we go there if we wanted or when we set the time. Great property, location, host, accommodations, staff, decks, kitchen, washer/dryer, love love loved our stay! Thank you so much for our home away from home!!! We will be back....soon!!!

I spent a week here with my family. The home had everything we needed for the week long stay. Great location, as described, the owner was really responsive/communicative. I would definitely stay here again.

The good: the home is beautiful, the view is great, we loved how close the beach access was as well. Beach umbrellas and chairs there for us to use as well. The bad: we had internet problems for 24hr. Some of our guests work from home and without the wifi they were unable to work which was a huge inconvenience. As the internet did not work, we were also unable to leave and enjoy our stay as we had to wait for the company to come out and fix it. We were unable to go through with our plans of enjoying the town while we were there which was extremely upsetting as well. We did appreciate that it was able to get fixed before the end of the stay. When we entered and began looking at the rooms we noticed they were NOT set up like the pictures on the app. This caused problems for our children, as we were expecting to see two futons in the loft which was going to be perfect for us, instead we found bunk beds in another room and our children were too small to sleep on bunk beds. Many of the beds were not made up for us with just sheets folded on the bed. In the master bedroom we found underwear in the drawer, we had no toilet paper for hours, no garbage bags and no soap for dishwasher/dishes. We found dirty drinking glasses in the cupboard. The stove top was not cleaned at all and the light stayed on saying the stove was hot. The trash can was very dirty including the wall behind it. Trim/many other main areas dirty. The fan in the bunkbed room was falling off the ceiling with exposed wires, which especially dangerous for a room with bunk beds for children. And the fan in the main room had an extreme amount of dust on it, and under the beds were extremely dusty and dirty in all of rooms. In the master bath there was toothpaste on the faucet and on the backsplash. There was hair on the counter, in drawers, and in the shower in the bathroom. The pillows in the master had some sort of marks/stains on them and hair on the sheets. We basically would have had to clean the whole place to be there comfortably. Overall the whole house needed a LOT better cleaning in between the separate guest stays as it is supposed to be. Between us, family, and friends we have NEVER had to clean anything when entering a rental like this one. Very disappointed on the cleanliness of the property. . We did contact the owner with our issues and have not received any type of response.

The home is very nice close to everything. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful. The decks are great to sit at and feel relax. It has been updated and looks new still.

We had a wonderful time here! James was an absolute gem to work with. We will be back for sure. Nice views from all levels, house was detailed out perfectly - Bed's were comfortable. Just a 1 minute walk to the beach via private access point. Super chill neighborhood in a very private setting. This was a perfect getaway!

Loved the property and the upgrades. So comfortable and well equipped. Felt like home!! Lovely views and beach was beautiful. Will absolutely book this property again. 😀
