We enjoyed our stay very much. We arrived late (our mistake) but Ann was super patient and didn't make it an issue. She even greeted us with tea and biscuits nonetheless. Her hospitality is unmatched. It felt like we were staying with a close relative instead of a stranger. Ann even let us put our lunchbox into her fridge because the rooms don't have a mini fridge. Room was clean and comfy and looked exactly like in the pictures. We even had a view of the bay! Achill is small and there aren't many shops / restaurants open in off season but Ann's place is really close to the only bigger supermarket, one of two takeaways on the island and a lovely pub. You can even walk there in 10 minutes, which is not a given in rural Ireland! All the nice spots on the island were a short drive away from the B&B, so for us the location was great. You could choose every evening what you wanted for breakfast the next morning and we loved that they even had a vegetarian breakfast and veggie sausages! You could get a full Irish, veggie breakfast, eggs on toast etc. and on top of that they had bread, yogurt, cereal, tea, coffee, juice and an amazing fruit salad! Plus, the breakfast room had a view of the bay aswell!! Plus: Ann's dog is absolutely gorgeous and very, very sweet (no barking, don't worry)

Not a big issue but a few coat hooks on the door in the room would've been amazing for wet jackets for example. :) Also just keep in mind that it's cash or Revolut only, there is no card machine. But that's something you should now on Achill in generall: Multiple places are cash only, which is very unlike Ireland. Not an issue for us though, because we knew in advance.

Very warm and receiving. Nice room, Good breakfast. Love the welcome dog. He said goodbye also. Great location.

A warm welcome on arrival and a great Irish breakfast

The room was small, including the bathroom, no room to put anything. Disturbances in the early hours, woken up and the noise continued for at least an hour. Biggest issue was that this property is Cash Only! This should be made more obvious in Booking.com. Ourselves and other guests had to go to an atm ( which didn’t accept our cards) which meant we had to go into a shop, purchase something to enable us to get cash back!! Totally unacceptable in this day and age!!
