Everything, the private room with balcony facing the Golden Gate Bridge was large, clean and the location was a short walk away from the pier.

Friendly staff and great location!

Another hostel nearby offers beer/cider/ snacks for sale at a reasonable cost. His place does not allow alcohol on premises. After a long day of sightseeing, having the option of sipping a beer while planning next day sightseeing would have been nice.

Breakfast consisted of plain or everything bagels with cream cheese, butter, and jam along with bananas and yogurt (vanilla, strawberry, or peach). Orange juice, coffee, and tea we're available to drink. The only negative is that the toaster was broken and wouldn't stay depressed long enough to heat the bagels. The location was great, and the availability of two parking garage areas was wonderful.

The breakfast was good but was the same every morning.

The location is good and near access to bus routes. There is some parking, but can fill up quickly. Full sized bathroom and bathtub in room. 24/7 tea and water refill available. Charging outlets in each bed.

The staff seem polite but short with answers. Requested a bottom bunk weeks in advance and mentioned multiple times when calling ahead. They still gave me a top bunk and couldn’t switch. The bunk steps are metal bars that are uncomfortable for large people to climb while trying to be quiet for roommates. Roommates often take pillows, sheets and towels off beds if unused. Rules posted everywhere not to, and to stay in assigned bed numbers. The room was quite warm and heat rises, so I was sweating often. Good thing the shower was nice. The walls are thin, and you can hear kids screaming next door late at night.
