The stand-out feature of this apartment is the location. It's right in the centre of the best parts of Palermo; all the main bars, cafes and tourist attractions are within walking distance, so no need to bother with taxis. The historic centre, Vucciria and Kalsa districts are all very close, with the apartment itself situated on one of the main strips. The apartment has air-con, a decent sized balcony (although it only overlooks a side street but it was still welcome after a long day out!), and a communal vending/coffee machine in the staircase which comes in useful. Facilities were basic but more than sufficient when you're out all day. No issues with the toilet and shower (although make sure the boiler switch is turned on on the balcony!).

Bed and pillows aren't the comfiest, they're quite firm. The apartment has a laundry machine but there wasn't any detergent. I asked the host about this and their response was a bit disappointing, basically saying if there wasn't any in the cupboard then it must've ran out and apologised. Small thing, but it would've been good customer service to restock this (even if it only cost a few euros to buy some). There is a basic pod coffee machine and it would've been nice for a couple of free pods. The bathroom/toilet has a window overlooking a small courtyard and when the light is on, you do feel like people can see your outline through the netted curtain and frosted glass. A proper curtain/shutter would provide more privacy (especially in the shower!). Didn't bother us too much, but if you're a light sleeper then it's worth saying that the apartment block is quite noisy. Not just the street outside, but the other residents in the building itself. Small bit of feedback for the host: the apartment needs more decor and colour to showcase some Sicily's wonderful art and culture!

Location and service

I enjoy the time in Palermo and stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is really good. it's near to the old town (2min) and to the harbor. There are so many good restaurant nearby as well.

Fantastic location. Great host. All facilities in house.

Would like an electric kettle added to appliances. A few hangers with bars for trousers. These are not essential but wikk enhance the proprty.
