Comfortable quiet

Gorgeous old inn. Very comfortable accommodation on a lovely property.

The artwork in the room really didn’t belong! Something local would have been so much better!

The historic buildings & peaceful surroundings & stunning gardens

No heater in bathroom.

Gorgeous little historic building, stunning gardens on the property, peaceful location, nice decor and bedding fitting to the style of the building...and there was a fireplace + reverse aircon + electric blankets!

Despite having the fire roaring + the heat on high + the electric blankets on...it was FREEZING! There is a new kitchen addition on the side of the main room/bedroom that is not insulated plus has big gaps. The wind just roared through that room into the bedroom during the night as there is no solid door or even a thermal curtain to separate the rooms. It was incredibly uncomfortable to be so cold in what should have been a very cosy warm space. There were no instructions to use the tv anywhere, so we couldn't watch a movie or anything. The room is very dark by day, and although the lighting that is there is lovely to relax by at night, it is not suitable to read or write by. Unfortunately the owners were not very communicative, failing to inform us that the 'road closed due to flooding' signs on their road were no longer applicable, which left us wondering how to proceed when turning onto the road. As phone coverage is sparse in the area, we couldn't get hold of them once we got to the signs. We eventually received a text once we had already taken a long detour then decided to proceed through the road closed signs...and hope for the best! I even tried to relay all this feedback to them off the internet, with no response or acknowledgement.
