Ca' Maddalena

When visiting a dream city like Venice, you should stay in a dream lodging, and this was exactly what we experienced. The lady of the house treated us to a delightful stay, with a warm and friendly welcome. Granted, there are a fair number of stairs to bring the luggage up, but the house is charming and filled with antique furniture and artworks. We had a cozy spot under the eaves with windows for good ventilation. Just outside the room, there is a small area for breakfast with coffee and tea provided. Our host was so helpful with tips for reaching the property by water bus, ideas for dining throughout the city, and many other things. The property is located a few minutes on foot from an outer Vaporetto stop as well as from the Rialto bridge, and a small market, restaurants, and a very nice pastry shop are nearby.

I couldn't say anything bad about the property and the stay!

Beautiful house and room, also a great location!

We loved the location, just out of the hustle bustle. Watching the gondoliers working through the canal below from the rooftop deck in the evening. Cafes and restaurants close by. Close to the Alilaguna and water buses. Our host, Elena, is beautiful and very helpful.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Elena our host was very helpful and you could not ask for a better location. It was perfectly located for all activities.

We were unaware it was actually a bed breakfast until we checked in. There were also a very steep set of stairs that were very difficult to get up and down particularly with our heavy luggage. The bathroom was adequate but the shows itself quite small.
