Bongan Safari Lodge

Absolutely wonderful stay! We were blown away by the genuine warmth and outstanding service at Bongan Safari Lodge. We booked the sunset game drive and it was well‑worth it — we witnessed an incredible sight: a pride of lions being chased off by a herd of elephants. Our guide Frank was incredibly experienced, and we all loved his great sense of humour. We also had dinner at the lodge, which was really special. Dining beside the bonfire was such a lovely experience. To our total surprise, the lodge had prepared complimentary honeymoon decorations and a bottle of red wine for us — such a touching gesture. Every member of staff here is incredibly friendly, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. We had an early 5:30 a.m. departure for Kruger National Park the next morning, and they kindly packed a breakfast box ready for us in advance. This place is truly fantastic, and I highly recommend Bongan Safari Lodge!

The road in is a bit bumpy, but nothing to worry about！

The rooms were spotless and the food was amazing. The owner was also friendly and welcoming.

The place is at the noisy location, we hardly slept because of noise. No security at the gate and the worst was to experience loadshedding twice a night. Signs are needed on the main road.
