Conveniently located in the heart of derby. We didn’t need to drive anywhere and walked/ cycled to the shops, sauna and trail head. It was cosy and thoughtfully designed with cute little touches like homegrown walnuts - which were delicious! Most impressively, the cabin considers mountain bikers. There’s a spot indoors where your bike is locked up with you, a place for e bikes to be charged, spare rags, a bike pump and even a foam roller and massage ball to loosen out those muscles at the end of the day. Liz and Mark were very helpful with suggestions around what to do in Derby and surrounding areas. Be sure not to miss the sauna by the lake which is a nice 15 minute walk from the cabin - fantastic for recovery!

Would have loved for the kitchen knives to be sharp and pantry to be stocked with a few more of the basics.

The bonus of fresh walnuts was so nice. I started cracking and eating even before unpacking! The location was perfect for wandering around this small village. The kitchen was brilliant, big and well equipped. They let me park in front of the cabin for most of my exit day, as no-one was coming in. I didn't personally met the owners, but we spoke on the phone. The front porch was really handy as it was raining and I could dump my stuff there. I made use of the heat-pump!

Not a complaint, but a fire box would have made the cabin perfect for my wintery stay.

The location and the facilities were awesome

2 single beds (not our preference but understand that this would accommodate other people)
