Apartment was clean and modern.

Personal preference but beds could be comfier. Also needs a new iron as was not working during our stay

The location and size of the property is great. It served its purpose, but simple small things would have made this an excellent stay instead of an OK one.

I did not like that I was not able to collect the key until exactly 3pm. I was there about 10 mins early and it would not be released to me. Bear in mind that collection is about a 5 minute walk away so by the time I would have collected and entered the apartment, it would have been 3pm anyway. When I first checked in, I did not know how to lock the front door. Turns out the handle needs to be lifted in order to be locked which took me a while to find out. I also had to message to find out how to connect to the wifi which did not work at first, and when it did work it would only work intermittently which meant at times there was no internet. Perhaps some kind of guide would have helped to show us how things worked instead of having to message on booking.com. It was summer, and hot, and only 1 fan was provided so it was really quite hot. There is a washing machine but no drying rack, so this made it rather messy to find space all around the apartment to dry the clothes. Also, the single knife provided was very blunt and could hardly cut meat (and there was no chopping board as well). The dining table was also tipping over a bit (not level). Felt like things were going to fall off at times.

The location was convenient to many sites in Manchester. The apartment was spacious, and my wife loved the bathtub. The area of the facility was interesting with the river that snaked by the property and the view from the apartment was interesting.

My impression is that this is a large corporation that provides the least service and minimal amenities to maximize profit. When the intial identify verification was not working, my phone call was answered by a call service. When I went to pick up the key, there was no record of our reservations, and the call centre had to be involved again to get me a key. To get the key we had to drag our luggage to a corner store that held the key. When I asked where the building was that had the apartment the convenant store employee had no idea where it was. There was no instruction to get into the building and the concierge for the building had no relationship and no information to help us get into the apartment. We had to figure it out on our own and that meant we had to carry our heavy bags up flights of stairs. We had to learn our way around the building by ourselves without anyone to help or give directions. The apartment amenities did not include a coffee maker, a pot with a lid, or a dishrack. These small inconveniences but are because there is nobody who cares. There was a dishwasher without any soap provided. The bed was terrible. It felt like a boxspring without a mattress. It was hard, lumpy, squeaky, and I woke up with a back ache.
