A superior lodge with all the little extras you could ever need. Excellent peaceful location with access to a super dog walk on your doorstep.

Fabulous property- very clean with all requirements, shame the place does not have any facilities on it but great for dogs and Golfers.

Our second stay at Starlight Retreat and we weren't disappointed...it was spotlessly clean on arrival and ready to just unpack and unwind. The views from the lounge and deck are lovely, looking out onto a real wildlife haven (& golf course), positioned in a peaceful spot next to the woods, ideal for walking the dog. There is a friendly pub serving very good food about a mile away, The Cook and Barker, and the location is great, with easy access to Alnwick, Warkworth, Alnmouth etc, all within a short drive. Thank you again Gill & Darren for another wonderful stay, I'm sure it won't be our last!

Spotless caravan with all the home comforts. Loved the quacky morning visitors and the nice walks from our doorstep through the woods.

Starlight Retreat was like home from home. Everything we could possibly need was there, except a bottle opener. Good instructions on how to use everything. A lovely welcome basket. Highly recommend this place.
We arrived late evening so we were not sure if we were following the right road to find the caravan. Also if there was a little light above the name and number it would have been easier to find. This is the tiniest criticism.

What a perfect little getaway, in such a lovely peaceful location. The cleanliness was exceptional and smelt amazing, to say there are dogs allowed, there was no sign any dogs had stayed before it was that clean.
Really spacious and very well equipped even down to dog bowls being available. All the little details had been thought of.
Hosts were excellent too, extremely pleasant and clear information provided.
We will definitely be back to stay.

IT was spotlessly clean and comfortable - just as we expected.

As soon as we opened the door the fresh, clean aroma hits you. It was so clean and tidy, the caravan was modern and extremely comfortable and the small welcoming touches we're lovely. The site was so quiet and peaceful, the ducks came to see us and one or two rabbits. My son was disappointed he didn't bring his golf clubs ... Next time!

Appreciated the welcome pack & found it very restful - wife especially thought it had an air of being in her summer house, So relaxing. We were able to watch & listen to the wildlife. Again much like Home but with sea air to give us Good sleep.
The shower compartment was neat, having physical ailments meant it wasn't easiest wash but we all managed.

Fantastic van lovely and quiet ideal for a nice peaceful rest. Would advise anyone who likes tranquility to go here.Also within easy distance to many lovely seaside towns to visit.
No onsite shop, take all the supplies you need with you. Alnwick seems to be the closest shop . It's only about 8 miles but worth stocking up on your way there..

Great caravan on a peaceful site. Comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. Close to lots of great Northumberland attractions like Cragside national trust and only 15/20 mins from some lovely beaches. Great host with good comms who also kindly returned a forgotten item. Would love to return.

Very clean and a homely feel. Lovely view waking up to see the deer outside. Will definitely be booking again and even more so as dogs are allowed
