In many years of travelling together, we have never enjoyed a stay so much as the days we passed at Etxatoa. Iñaki is an ideal host: knowledgeable, helpful, and sensitive to the needs of his guests--a true Basque gentleman. He prepares a magnificent breakfast every morning, served at a communal table which encourages conversation among a diverse and interesting group of lodgers. The house itself--centuries old--and the tiny hillside village are enchanting, and the area is full of wonders: ancient dolmens a short walk away, magnificent caves a few miles down the road, an ancient church with its bell above the town. The furnishings aren't fancy but everything is fitting and comfortable; you feel you are staying in the home of a friend. I would be happy to stay at Etxatoa forever.

We liked it all.

Her vil vi gerne besøge igen.

Vi kunne ikke lide at vores ophold kun var på tre nætter, og derfor skulle forlade stedet igen.

Everything! We were in love with the house, with the room, with the location. It was very calm and beautiful around. Lots of possibilities to hike. The host is super friendly! We have got all the information and tips, good for the area. The breakfast war very delicious! You should try local milk products and the honey. We loved it soooo much, we definitely should visit this place again.
