Babel Belleville

I absolutely loved my stay. After the summer heat wave I wanted a room with air conditioning and there were very few reasonably priced options in Paris so this seemed like the best of a limited bunch. It far exceeded my expectations. The decor is great, the bed was so comfy and everything felt luxurious. The staff were friendly and helpful, I felt really well looked after. Some reviews mentioned a smell from the bathrooms but I didn't experience this at all. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The area was busy in a nice way, seemed quite trendy,lots of little restaurants and wine bars, I ate at a great noodle place. The air conditioning worked perfectly.

As others have said you can hear a bit of the noise from the wine bar opposite when in the room (not double glazed). This didn't particularly bother me as I live in a city anyway and it helps that the rooms have air con so you don't need to sleep with the windows open.

L'hotel è situato nel quartiere di Belleville dove si possono trovare persone che vivono veramente il quartiere. Per le strade e per i café sono presenti veri parigini di ogni etnia e ogni lingua, si respira aria cosmopolita che rende questo hotel ancora più caratteristico. La struttura si trova a pochi passi dalla metro vicino a ristoranti, farmacia, supermercati, ristoranti e café. Le camere sono confortevoli e adeguate per una breve visita della città, sicuramente adatte per noi che eravamo fuori tutto il giorno. La diversità di ogni stanza rende ogni soggiorno unico. Le parti comuni e privare erano curate nei minimi dettagli, i letti confortevoli, i cuscini comodi, le tende coprivano bene la luce del mattino e le camere insonorizzate. Lo staff è stato sempre disponibile nell'aiutarci. Consiglierei assolutamente questo hotel

Cute little hotel right next to the train station that gives you easy access to central Paris but with a surprisingly busy little night scene just outside too

The hotel has a bit of charm and is very nicely decorated. The rooms and common areas feel thoughtfully furnished, which gives the place a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly, however not helpful as the service they provided was very much limited.

On one day, my room was not cleaned. Although a quick solution was offered, the room was not properly made up afterwards, and instead of an apology, I was given several explanations about why the hotel does not do “proper cleaning” for ecological reasons. The breakfast was also very limited, with few options and poor coffee. I was also told that the area is not the safest, especially at night. Overall, while the staff were friendly, the service and hotel offering felt quite limited.
