As we are getting elderly, we should just have liked a warning about the very steep stairs

Beautiful location and the town is very nice.
There is a shuttle bus that runs to the Olympe lift but it finishes very early so not really usable to return. Big shame the Olympe lift doesn't run till later as well. Would have been great to have a few drinks in Meribel before heading down the mountain!
