Bookarest Hostel Malta

Great place, great location, very accommodating staff!

The hostel is 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. The mattress was comfy, and the AC was nice and cold. The rooms were quiet which is a big plus for a hostel! Plenty of hot water for the shower as well. Both of the workers, Matheus Sebastian and the girl whose name starts with L, did great and made sure my stay was comfortable and I was well taken care of. Matheus ensured that I had bottled water and that my AC was working, which were two of the biggest staying points!

The owner genuinely does his best to take care of his guests. While there were problems with check in with me having to wait outside for almost 10 minutes and then waiting another 10 minutes when let in by a guy that "didn't work there" but had direct connections to the owner was incredibly frustrating. Guy also walked around the hostel shirtless and slept on the couch in the common room which was unsettling. However, due to the owner going above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable for my stay after the issue, I decided to give the property the full 10/10. One thing to improve on is spay the rugs in the bathroom with insecticide, there are tons of ants on them. Also, if you refund the deposit using the refund option from the credit card terminal, you would get back the charge the the credit card company charges you; I have to do refunds all the time with my business and it refunds the 3% charge back to me.

Very conveniently situated close by to all shops. Hostel itself was exceptionally clean and a great overall atmosphere. Not too many people in each room so managed to get some great nights sleep also. I have nothing but good to say about my stay here and will definitely be coming back
