Good location, beach and restaurants are walking distance. Fast wifi, AC works well.
The bed is extremely uncomfortable. the pillows are essentially pointless as they are so flat. There is only one small quilt for the bed which is not large enough to cover two people if you are sharing the room. There are never any staff available to help, no one is ever in the reception area. Room never is cleaned, trash never taken out, toilet paper or towels never replaced. Obvious mold all over walls in bathroom. Shower can only be scalding hot or freezing cold, and the water pressure is inconsistent and weak so it takes very long to wash yourself. when requested to have shower fixed the staff was unable to. There is a safe but no batteries in it so it’s useless.

Mala ubicación , muy ruidoso, la tercera cama era un colchón en el suelo, no agua caliente, zonas comunes abandonadas, cucarachas en la habitación, otros huéspedes fumando drogas en zonas comunes, no había presencia de personal, no limpiaron la habitación ni cambiaron toallas, pedimos irnos y que nos devolvieran el dinero de los días no disfrutados y no nos lo devolvieron .

I liked the location of the property and helpfulness and availability of the owner.
Mold on the walls visible in the bathroom. The smell of mold in the apartment due to the bathroom and most likely a moldy AC. The level of cleanliness of the apartment and shared kitchen was disappointing. The equipment in the kitchen is quite old, dirty and mostly broken. Either price need to be lowered or the things repaired.

A really nice, clean hostel in Santa Teresa. The rooms are spacious with attached bathroom and had a good hot shower, not to mention the air conditioning in the room made it to sleep in the night despite the heat. The kitchen is very well equipped. The owner and the staff were friendly and provided very good recommendations. A 2-3minute walk from the beach which is across the road. I had booked for 2 nights and was disspointed that I was unable to extend my stay, as it was booked out. I highly recommend Casa del Sol.

- Perfect location : in the middle of the 2 surf beaches. Right next to the supermarket.
- AC in all the rooms all day
- Complete kitchen and really clean
- Bed made everyday and rooms and bathroom clean
- Best social hostel, meet so many people, the vibe is just perfect.
supposed stay 3 days and finished to stay 2 weeks.
Definitely one of the best moment in my 9 months road trip.
Some protection for the food baskets against the raccoon would be nice

I liked the location, the room was nice and friendly staff.
The other guests partied in the garden until 1-2 am which included screaming, shouting and in general it was really loud.
As I prefer quiet in general I wasn't very happy about it, but I guess its normal and expected at hostels.

Its a great location
The sheets and room were dirty
We didnt have hot water at all and when we asked for help they tried and it didnt work.
The pool isnt somthing you can get in.
The price is very high concidering the place..
It is on the high road so you hear the cars driving all day long.

Amazing location, literally a 1 minute walk to the beach. The private room is beautiful, really good AC & amazing common areas! Staff is really helpful & sweet’

Good location, close to the beach, just have to pass the main road.
The mattress was very uncomfortable, very worn out. The toilet was leaking. They fixed that soon though but we had to wait a few hours outside the bungalow. Noone apologized for that. It is close to the main road which you hear weĺl at night. All in all it is was ok but way too expensice for what it is.

no lid on bin in the dorm bathrooms, no hand soap in the dorm bathroom, no ventilation or alike in the bathroom and thus very moist, electrocuted when touching the douche fixture when showering, bed sheets come of every night as they don’t fit the beds very well, no lights by the beds, bar and restaurant not open

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily. Only 2 minutes walking distance from the beach.

We came for the night and it was lovely and treated really well. We decided to stay another night and later we noticed that they charged us double the price for an extra night and we asked for a refund, they told us that the price in the booking is only for one night and an extra night costs double (they didn't say that at all before) and they didn't agree to refund the money and it really ruined the whole experience.

The most underrated hostel in the Santa Teresa area - the cleaners are in every day including changing your bedding, the kitchen facility is brilliant, there's air con in every room, they're really relaxed about checking in / out / adding extra nights.
The only downside was that there wasn't many people there so there wasn't any social scene.

The cleaning staff were amazing and friendly. We had a private ensuite room for 7 nights and the room was cleaned everyday. There was also a fridge and tv which was great since we stayed a week.
The reception staff weren't very friendly. Our room was on the side of the main road which meant that it was quite loud but we didn't have any issue sleeping.

Nice kitchen, fairly priced for Santa Teresa. Pretty nice vibes.
They had problem with the water pipes.
Also kind of on the wrong side of central Santa Teresa if you want to be closer to the action.

Absolutely everything, great location, amazing customer service. They take every single detail into account and are always checking in to ensure everyone is comfortable and all your needs are met. Definitely the best place I've stayed at during my Costarican travels
