Description of the hotel is quite accurate. Very nice breakfast for Italian standards - there were pastries, bread, one type of fruit, one type of cheese and ham, butter, nutella, jams, honey, cereal, iogurt, juices, coffe and such. The hostess Filomena is very nice and helpful. Location is about 6km from Portoferraio, on the other side of the bay, which gives the hotel a nice view of the city. Very quiet place. The rooms can be individual/separate "houses" (smaller rooms but more privacy) or geminated/town homes (bigger rooms but closer to other rooms). There is room cleaning every day and towels are changed every 3 days. Comfortable beds.
We stayed in the smaller "separated" rooms - the disadvantage was that the bathroom shower was a bit small. Nevertheless we had a great stay!

Very nice location. Rooms are cabines.
Bad road down hill. Especcially when travelling with a heavy touring bike. It is a challenge.
And restaurant not on walking distance.

It is an absolutly beatiful place with wonderful views and very kind and helpful staff.
I have only said that the location was bad because I did not have a car and as the restaurant was closed in the evenings and there is nowhere in within easy walking distance to get something to eat that was rather inconvienient.
There is a bus stop at the end of the road but services are infrequent and, at night, non existent.
That said, If you have your own transportation I would definatley recommend this place.

stunning location, very close to Portoferraio but in a tranquil setting amongst pine trees and close to the sea. There is a small beach. Breakfast was very good and set outside overlooking the beautiful bay. The hosts were very friendly. The chalets suited us for informality, they were cleaned daily with fresh towels. An excellent spot to explore the rest of this fantastic island.
The rooms were very basic and quite small, but this was reflected in the price.

The staff was friendly, all smiles and so relaxed as they should be for living on an island! The area by the beach is lovely and peaceful, perfect for a quiet dip in the evening and watching the sun glow on the mountains across the sea. Breakfast was simple, but plentiful. Daily cleaning of the room was great. Although the bus schedule isn't quite frequent, locals were happy to pick me up on their way to Portoferraio for a short hitch-hike conversation.
A little out of the way, but the bus or a friendly local always showed up. If you're shorter on time I'd recommend a car or motorbike, if you're looking to relax with more than a few days depending on the bus is just fine!
