Scandic Kiruna

Great location at the city center with walking distance to the mine tour, city hall and church. Great topfloor bar, view and restaurant with nice selection and staff.

Very nice environment, very scandinavian, cozy and cute. Calm music everywhere. Staff is a bit confused, you need to ask everything by yourself (when is breakfast, where, what price, etc..) looks like they are not intend to tell more bythemself (different experience in Norway Scandic). The room is spacious, quite, comfortable beds. Breakfast is amazing and staff in breakfast area is super helpful. The price for room looks a bit pricey, but it's Scandinavia.. :) they have sauna included for guests in upper floor, what is amazing, but unfortunately we havent tried.

The Parking for the customers is outside the hotel which is a bit inconvinient. In heavy weather conditions this could be really an issue.

The room was clean, but the air conditioning didn’t work. We set it to 19°C, but after a full day, the temperature stayed at 22°C, just like when we arrived. You can’t open windows in the room ! The sauna and gym were nice, but the sauna only opens at 3 PM, which was disappointing since we wanted to use it in the morning.

This hotel does not match its advertised value, especially during the off-season. The reception experience was very unpleasant — the woman at the front desk seemed irritated and unwelcoming, which made us feel like we weren’t wanted.
