Hampton by Hilton Düsseldorf City Centre

This is a convenient hotel right next to the central train station. There’s nothing wrong about it, though nothing extraordinary either. Breakfast is good, and rooms are clean.

The location is excellent, just 2 minutes or less from the main train station. It is very convenient for trains, taxis and public transport. There are also many shops and places to eat nearby. The city centre is also at a good walking distance. The hotel is what you expect from a Hampton: comfortable, clean and good for a city trip. There were some small maintenance details in the bathroom, but nothing important. Breakfast was good, with many options. It can get a little busy at some times. We stayed during the Backstreet Boys concert, so there were many BSB fans in the hotel and at breakfast 😄, but it was not a problem. The staff was nice and helpful.

The area around the train station has some people hanging around, like in many big city train stations, but we had no problems during our stay. If I come back to Düsseldorf, I would stay here again, mainly because of the excellent location.

We came during the most terrific heat wave and I would like to praise the A/C of the hotel. The hotel was the only comfy place in the whole city. The rooms are cozy and convenient. The breakfast is cool and abundant. You can as well cook your own waffles.

The location is not perfect. There are a looooooot of homeless and drunk people wandering around the neighborhood. They're not aggressive but when they are so many you just can't fully relax.
