EVERYTHING. Refugio Dourado is probably the best place we have stayed in ever....
The host Michele, is great, and very attentive & friendly and gave us a brief tour of the restored manor. We even got an upgraded room.
Breakfast was very, very good, with lots of options, all of which was very fresh.

Michèle and Ida welcome you with genuine warmth, switching effortlessly between languages and smiles. The decoration is stunning, filled with unique objects that give the place its soul. The breakfast was incredible — generous, varied, and truly made with care. Perfect for couples or groups, it’s a beautifully located home base to explore the Aveiro and Coimbra region at your own rhythm.

The hosts were very amiable and willing to assist as needed. The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone's liking. The area is quiet, and reminded us of a neighborhood from the 1930s.
In walking to the beach, we discovered the restaurant named SUL, and had the best meal of this trip. It's a must visit if in the area.
We would have liked the B&B property to be on the beach, and have unobstructed view of the beach and ocean.
