Hele kleine details.

The villa is beautiful, modern and stylish, with a spectacular view of Portoferraio. It proved a great base for us to explore every side of the island, which boasts some amazing hiking trails and gorgeous beaches. The owner was very responsive to queries and quickly rectified any minor issues. The villa is well equipped, was spotlessly clean and extremely peaceful, if you want to "get away from it all". It's reached via a winding track up a hill, so probably best to arrive in daylight - but it's worth the effort for the view that awaits!

We agree with other reviewers about the charge for bed linen - we've never come across this before. It would be better if guests were spared having to go first to the rental agency to pay this and the deposit etc.. and then to meet the owners at the villa (a lot to deal with when you might also be picking up hire cars and doing a first food shop). It's not clear that the twin room is the one where a single bed is in a built-in unit - another single bed pulls out, but this is not shown. The room with the bunk-bed has no window on an outside wall. The villa could broaden its appeal if the double-beds were the type that could be separated into twin beds for group stays, rather than couples. But overall, these are relatively minor points and, generally speaking, the villa was excellent and we had a great stay.
