Central location clean tidy modern with a helpful host good value for money

Can be a little noisy outside but it literally is bang central

I really liked the location, especially being so close to Poniente Beach, with supermarkets, cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance. The apartment is fairly small, but it’s well laid out and never felt cramped, and the mattress was really comfortable. Check-in was very easy, and Conchi and Sinia were both friendly and helpful. Sinia was super responsive when I had a problem with the bathroom – she came over within about 20 minutes and managed to fix it really quickly, and the problem didn’t happen again.

My biggest issue was the noise. The apartment is advertised as soundproofed, but the bedroom definitely didn’t feel soundproofed – I could hear pretty much everything from the street, and there was also very loud construction work right next door most mornings. The Wi-Fi worked throughout my stay, but it was quite slow and struggled if I tried to do more than one thing at a time. The floor didn’t seem to have been cleaned very well before I arrived, and I had one bathroom flood when water came up through the floor drain. As mentioned above, Sinia dealt with that very quickly, but a plumber who had been arranged for the next morning didn’t show up. He wasn’t needed in the end, but it would have been nice to be notified so I didn’t spend part of my morning waiting for him. The pillows were small and not very supportive, and the kitchen could use a few more basics, such as a chopping board, dish soap, trash bags and some basic spices. For a longer stay like mine, one mid-stay clean would have been really nice too. One other thing worth knowing before booking is that the apartments are in four different locations. There are small maps in the photos for each apartment showing where it is, but this is easy to miss unless you open each individual apartment and go through the photos. I think the different locations could be made much clearer on the listing itself.

Everything was just as we wanted

Apartment has everything you need. Air Con was very effective! Wifi could stream Netflix smoothly without any issues. The location was slap bang in the middle of the old town. A two minute walk home from all the late bars. I read some of the previous negative reviews but I assume they were written by people who are dissatisfied with life and are unhappy in general. I will definitely try to stay here again.
