The Valley Tayrona hostel- A social jungle hostel

This was the coolest hostel we have ever stayed at immersed in the jungle

Surrounding views. Atmosphere. Real jungle vibes.

Poor communication surrounding getting to property. Lack of communication regarding ongoing Tayrona closure and safety concerns surrounding the area at that time. (Some tourists were aware of it but not all of us were told)

The food and the cocktails were good

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. * The bunk beds were very unstable and did not feel safe or comfortable. * The pool was under maintenance during our stay, so we were unable to use it. When we asked reception about possible compensation, we were told that we had been notified about this beforehand. However, I checked all my emails and messages and did not receive any notification. When I asked the receptionist to show me where we had been informed, he was unable to do so. * The hostel was very noisy at night. There were dogs barking loudly, and music from other hostels could be heard every night, making it difficult to sleep. * The room was far too small for four people and felt very cramped. * The location is also quite inconvenient. Taxis cannot reach the hostel, so you have to walk around 20 minutes with your luggage. To get to Tayrona National Park, you first have to walk another 20 minutes and then take a mototaxi for around 5,000 COP. The mototaxi ride felt quite unsafe and uncomfortable.
