Gallicantu Stazzo Retreat

This place is stunning. It has been restored with attention to every detail to create a beautiful environment with subtle beauty in every corner. The rooms all have space to breathe and the respect for the trees and rocks make this place feel like it’s always been part of the landscape while also providing every luxury and comfort a guest could want. The pool area is gorgeous and we also enjoyed drinks and delicious food during our stay. My husband also loved spending an hour getting some pro golf tips from Marco.

It was perfect. Despite being a small charge in the overall scheme of things, 10 euros for a can of beer seemed expensive somehow, but perhaps the value was about the beautiful surroundings to enjoy it in.

The most perfect property, seamlessly and tastefully immersed in the natural landscape, it enhances the environment and celebrates its history. Small, local and quiet. Luxury at its finest.

Can not fault it

We were only supposed to stay 3 nights at Gallicantu but the charm of this place made us change our plans and extend our stay for the entire trip to Sardinia. Calm, serene, and beautifully nestled among the mountains and wild nature of Sardinia, Gallicantu is truly a special place. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with incredible attention to detail, every corner feels thoughtfully designed. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of immersing yourself in Sardinia’s nature while still being within driving distance of some of the most beautiful beaches around northeast ( Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo), this place has it all. And then there’s the wonderful team. From Daniella, the chef, whose delicious food and homemade baked goods were simply top-notch, always served with her amazing smile; to Alessandra, who gave us the best local recommendations and made exploring the area so easy; and Marco, the owner, who leaves no detail overlooked and personally makes sure every guest feels well taken care of. Renata, Camilla, and Carlotta complete a team that is incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. Gallicantu is a place you genuinely don’t want to leave. We absolutely loved our time here and would happily come back.

It sets the bar far too high for everywhere else :)
