We had an absolutely amazing birthday weekend here with my 5 friends. The lodge was unbelievable — so spacious, cosy and beautifully laid out. The beds were really comfy and every bedroom had its own TV, huge wardrobes, which was such a bonus. We loved the wine chiller, dishwasher, massive oven, gorgeous ceramic sink and of course the hot tub! The Alexa by the patio doors was such a cool touch too. There’s also a lovely pub on the caravan site, and it’s only a short taxi ride into York. The whole place was so peaceful, but there was still a great atmosphere around the park. We even had a walk around and saw everyone else having a great time. It was perfect for a girls weekend and such amazing value for money
Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like — we had such a brilliant stay and didn’t want to leave!

Had a lovely couple of nights away for the hubby’s birthday the lodge was spacious & cosy but not as clean as expected. The beds have a lovely thick mattress topper which were comfy but unfortunately no mattress protectors on them for hygiene. Loved the hot tub to chill and relax .
As we arrived the lodge didn’t smell fresh at all, there was greasy dust on the lights over the breakfast bar which looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in along time. The sofas smelt and under the cushions were not cleaned there’s was crisps amongst other things . The carpet could do with a vax freshen up . Also dirt behind bathroom door. There was no plastic glasses to take outside. The WiFi was hit and miss was off more than on , although the hot tub was lovely it seems to have collapsed on one corner causing the water to flood the decking , when getting up on the morning the temperature kept dropping so had to wait for it to heat up . Also the fridge wasn’t doing its job it wasn’t very cold , I have reported these faults . Would be nice to have a few extra touches like a pint of milk in fridge etc .
