It was welcoming to arrive to the living room with lights on although we did at first wonder if we had intruded on someone else in the property. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated in a modern way and whole place is all spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, with a wall mounted tv in the main bedroom. We didn't realise until we were preparing to leave that tea, coffee and sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper were supplied - we had taken our own, but it's still a nice gesture. Washing up liquid, sponge and cloth are also provided. There's a wood burning stove for the cold winter nights. And a wine fridge! And the owners were very responsive to messages.

A minor gripe is that although the shower was a good size, there was nowhere to put toiletries in the cubicle. Also, the door shelves of the fridge were missing when we stayed which wasn't a problem for us as we only stayed one night, but might make a difference to more than two people staying for a longer period.

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law. It had everything we needed and was really cosy, comfortable and welcoming. The cottage is very well equipped and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it feel like a home from home. We honestly loved our stay, and our daughter especially enjoyed playing with the little dog! Thank you so much for having us — we had a wonderful time and would love to come back again.

Excellent location, really comfortable and had everything we needed

Wish there could have been somewhere just to pull up and unload the car before dropping it in the car park.
