A beautiful apartment with views over a canal and a square in Venice, what a great setting! Loved the period features and the quirkiness of the property. Great communication from the hosts before our stay and while we were there. Could leave bags at the property while we explored the next day. Highly recommended!
Nothing - just be aware that it's an old property with a narrow staircase, so might not be suitable for all. We left our main suitcases in the car (used Park 5 by the people mover) and just took day bags into the city for the night.

The place is conveniently located in Dorsoduro, some 15 minutes away form the train/bus station, some 10 minutes away from Academia and maybe 25 minuted to San Marco. The view from the room was very nice as it overlooked a canal. Communication with the property was convenient - entirely online.
I was disappointed with the toilet and bathroom - the toilet was in a very cramped closet-like space and it was difficult to use it conveniently. The bathroom floor was on a slope so it almost felt like a ship during a storm. The wardrobe didn't fit into the room so it was placed in the bathroom which was a little bit inconvenient. Also, beacuse of the uneven floor, the closet door would slam shut unexpectedly. Wifi was poor - it was difficult to do any real work done.
