The only reason I’m giving this house 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the pool. One of the main reasons we rented this house was for the heated pool, especially since we were celebrating my mom’s 90th birthday and thought it would be much easier for her to enjoy the pool rather than dealing with the beach and waves. Unfortunately, the pool heater did not work, and the water was too cold to use. I spoke with the pool cleaner, who had just finished, and he confirmed the heater was off and had not been working for a couple of weeks. He submitted a repair ticket. I contacted Richard, our host, and explained the situation. He thanked me for reporting it and said their app showed the pool at 89 degrees. I explained that was impossible and even sent photos of the equipment showing “gas heater off” and “check flow” messages. After that, I never heard back from him. Before the pool issue, Richard had been responsive. Aside from that, the house itself was beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, regular and K-cup coffee makers, and even sharp knives. Plenty of room where you didn't feel you were on top of each other. There were beach chairs, hand soaps, spices, alot of extras probably left by prior renters The beach was an easy walk, there was a pizza place, ice cream, places close by within walking distance. Overall, the house was great. Just know the pool is more of a dipping pool than a swimming pool, which seemed common in the area.

Had a fantastic stay. The house had everything that you needed and so much more!

We have been renting homes in Cape May for 17 Summers. This is the first time that we rented this particular property. It is two years old and is showing some need for routine maintenance. It needs a deep cleaning. The floors felt dirty - our feet were black just from walking in the house. There were stains on the couch along with cookies and dog treats underneath the sofa.There were bathrooms without any toilet paper. A well equipped kitchen with wonderful appliances but no,clean sponges to wash dishes. I actually question whether the house was cleaned prior to our arrival. There were hornets nests in the back screened in porch area that overlook the pool. It was large enough for anyone who did a routine property inspection to notice. One of the blinds in a master bedroom was broken, and we were told it would not be fixed during our stay. The overall condition of the property was a little disappointing given that we thought we were renting a high quality property. On a positive note - the layout of the house was wonderful and spacious.
