Leo's Lodge is located right in the heart of Cinque Terre National Park, along the Blue Path (Sentiero Azzurro), in the hamlet PREVO in halfway between Corniglia and Vernazza in the highest and most impressive spot (208 m. above sea level) with breathtaking sea view.

In Leo's Lodge you will find art, history, territory, culture, pristine nature, breathtaking views of the sea, and the chance to really live "la Dolce Vita".

VERY IMPORTANT: Please read the description of the property carefully, this is not an apartment, there is an open area in the garden to take your meals.

Leo's Lodge is a rural stone house building 400 years ago protected by UNESCO, adapted for adventurous travelers.
It is located on top of a cliff that breaks out into the sea, facing south.
All around there are olive trees and fruit trees, vineyards and other mediterranean vegetation.

The Lodge has been renovated with taste and simplicity, trying to preserve as much as possible its historical roots.

Leo's Lodge is reached by foot and by car.
You will have two parking spots in our private parking at 50 meters from the house.
When possible, compatibly with our availability, we offer courtesy transfer service from/to Corniglia train station for check-in and check-out..

In Leo's Lodge there is one bedroom, Shark Room, with own bathroom + kitchenette and a large garden with barbecue and wood oven.

CURIOSITY

Leo's Lodge owes its name to Leo, my hero dog: has saved me in October 25th, 2011 during the flood when nine people died, for this he won the International Award of Loyalty of Dog and many newspapers and television had spoken about his history around the world.

INTRODUCTION IMPORTANT - READ UNTIL THE END

Leo's Lodge is surrounded by nature. Wild animals such as wild boars, foxes, rodents, and other animals are regular inhabitants of this area.

There are no particular problems if you observe the standards of living in the countryside, but if the rural life is not for you and you are not adaptable it's better that you book your room in one of the villages.
We will do our best to make your stay in our house is as relaxing and comfortable as possible but life in countryside has its own strengths and weaknesses.

+ IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION: bring mosquito spray with you!
As throughout Italy and in the Mediterranean sea in the Cinque Terre there are many insects: mosquitoes, bees, wasps, sand flies and much more.
There are not particular problems if you use mosquito spray before sunset and during the night (and during the day if you are allergic).
We suggest products based on Picaridin, a biocidal product, like Autan Family Care or Autan Tropical.
We advise against the use of repellent candles: in these areas they are little or not effective at all.
Please note that there aren't mosquito nets in the rooms.

+ general recommendations

Our house is 2 km away from Corniglia and Vernazza along Sentiero Azzurro (Blue Path). If you come on foot, especially during the summer, do not forget to bring water with you, even better fresh fruit and some energy food. IMPORTANT: After sunset is not possible walk the path because it is completely dark and it is very dangerous.

If you're tired and you wish I can pick you up with my car in Corniglia train station, especially if with you there are elderly or very young children, with the stroller, or other problems.
To obtain this assistance is enough that you notify me in advance about the time of arrival.

+ clothing and luggage

It is recommended that clothing and shoes appropriate to the situation, to living in the countryside.

Backpacks are recommended but if you have heavy suitcases I can come pick you up with my car in Corniglia train station.

+ medicines, first aid, health emergencies

In case you need medicines is recommended to buy them before got here.
The nearest pharmacy is in Vernazza.
Despite our location, however, if you feel unwell emergency vehicles can come to our home with ease, thanks to our private driveway.
In case of urgency the Cinque Terre are served by a helicopter rescue service.
