The home was just as advertised! We could have packed less than we did because this home certainly had all the basics covered. The location is a close and easy walk to the beach and bay. We had an amazing week soaking up the sun and eating way more food than we should have!

This property for our family of 5 and 2 grandparents was simply amazing. It had everything a family could need and all items in excellent working conditions. Location is so amazing and the quiet, calm area was so relaxing.

We LOVED our stay at Sugar Shack! The location cannot be beat. You are steps away from the beach and the bay, you really get the best of both worlds on this quite, beautiful, peaceful street! My family (myself, husband & 2 boys 8,10) stayed with my sister’s family (her, husband, girl 2, boy 4). There was plenty of space for all of us to comfortably exist. Scooters and bikes provided fun transportation to the beach and bay and made for adorable photos of children riding towards the beach grass and sand under the palm trees. The wagons, umbrellas, chairs and beach toys made each trip to the beach effortless. We found hundreds of sharks teeth and shells on the beach as well as two whole sand dollars!! Swimming with fish provided magical experiences for all of us. Each morning we saw new sea turtle nests and we’re amazed by the tracks left behind! In the bay, we were delighted to see dolphins swim by and in the shallow waters we were able to observe beautiful sea urchins, crabs, hermit crabs and whelks! It was a relaxing vacation that provided memories and experiences which will stay with us forever. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend the Sugar Shack!! We had a potential hiccup on our stay and when we notified the owner, Brian, he was incredibly responsive! His property mgr was onsite within the hour and as we were checking out a crew was onsite to fix the issue before an actual problem arose. Trust you are in great hands at the Sugar Shack!

The place is in the best place we could have asked for. Just two minute walk to the beach. The beach was awesome. The house was great. Big enough to have a little privacy when we needed it. Couldn't believe all the amenities that were available. Thank you so much for a great vacation that will be remembered for a long time.

This home is in a great location and includes a number of great amenities to make for an excellent vacation choice for our family. They have plenty of bikes for all ages that we got good use out of (along with a number of scooters which we didn't actually get to using). The four kayaks and two paddle boards provided hours of fun. They include some wheel carts to allow for easy transport to the kayak launches. On top of all this, they have a closet full of beach related items (boogie boards, sand toys, life jackets, flippers), and a beach wagon for easy transporting. Our family enjoyed many hours down at the beach, which is generally low traffic. The downstairs porch was a great place to relax, between the hammocks, the fire pit, and some grilling time. We also enjoyed a lot of time on the deck upstairs in a more private setting. The host was extremely prompt in answering questions and pleasant to interact with. overall, our family would highly recommend this home to others.

We had one of the most relaxing vacations ever! The Sugar Shack did not disappoint! A beautiful home that does not lack any amenities; stocked with everything we needed. Only steps to the beach! Nicest hosts with great communication. I highly recommend this property. We will be back! Amy D.

Comfy and casual cottage in Perfect location, close to everything, yet private and quiet. There was a cold snap during our visit , so we didn’t have a chance to take full advantage of all the amenities— Bikes, beach toys, fishing poles, board games, you name it. It was Impossible for anyone to be bored. We come to Manasota key twice per year to visit family, and this house was probably the best.

The house was great. We stayed close to a month and had family and friends come to stay with us. Loved the rooms and bathroom on the main floor for them to use and was easy for them to bring in luggage. We stayed at house for close to a mouth and I felt at home. That is very unusual for me. My husband and kids loved it also, so we booked again for next year. Brain was also great and felt like friends from day one. Area is safe and so much to do. We love Manasota Key.

The home is beautiful. It is very well equipped for anyone's vacation. The owners have thought of, and have included everything to help you enjoy and relax. The location is great. It's a nice quiet street. The beach is beautiful. The water is amazing. The owners are super nice and great to work with. I will be returning to this home when I can.

We were looking for a nice place to stay, have some fun, be close to the beach, and be able to relax. The Sugar Shack was just what we were looking for. Comfortable and relaxing, and close to the beach. We lived everything and left wanting to come back again. When we had questions, we received quick responses and appreciated the timeliness in responding. Loved our stay, we will return again. Thank you!

This was our first family vacation to the ocean and we couldn’t have picked a more magical location or house to stay in! Manasota Key was breathtakingly beautiful. Everyone there was extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt safe and at home the entire time. The beach was amazing and never over crowded, sometimes we felt like we had it to ourselves! I don’t enjoy touristy places, I enjoy a calm and off the beaten path feel- that is exactly what we got here. The Sugar shack was a very short walk to the beach/ ocean and in the opposite direction to the bay. Our family loved the kayaks, paddle boards, beach toys, and all the accessories/necessities -including umbrellas and life jackets. Our kids found over 200 shark teeth on the beach! They put them in the adorable keepsake corked bottles that we left for us to use! Manatees swam up to us on the ocean and it was an experience we will never forget! We also found crabs, stingrays, sea urchins, sand dollars, awesome shells, and got to hang out with the turtle patrol! We also had dolphins swim up to us on Turner beach in Captiva while on a day trip. The house was very cozy and we had everything we would have ever wanted or needed and more! Such a cute place! We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to come back!

The location was great. 0.1 of a mile from the beach sand. Cross a non-busy street and you are right there with a 2 minute walk. The beach itself was beautiful and very quiet, we had it almost to ourselves. The bay is even closer and a great place to throw kayaks in. The entire area was laid back, not touristy at all. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. Several restaurants w/ live music and outdoor seating were an easy walk. Sugar Shack had everything we needed for a great family vacation. Having plenty of beach towels, beach blankets, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, a wagon to haul them out to the beach saved a lot of hassle worrying about bringing those things or buying there The kayaks and paddleboards were awesome to have as well. Saved us $ not having to rent them The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked and included more than we'd even expected. The condo was decorated very nicely, and laid out very well for the entire family. We enjoyed sitting on the front lanai - plenty of chairs and a couple ceiling fans made it a great space to hang out The owner was very communicative to us, kept us up to date on what to expect, and responded in minutes to a few questions we had All in all, we'd highly recommend

This property is absolutely fantastic! We had a fairly large family of 8 and we had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and unwind. All of the add ons like the bicycles, kayaks and wave boards were a great addition to our beach experience and we used all of them multiple times. Manasota Key is absolutely a gorgeous place in itself with lovely beaches, parks in convenient locations and nice restaurants within walking distance if need be. Overall I really do believe this home was even better than advertised!! Highly recommended for a large, medium or even small family who want to have everything they could ever need in a beach rental!

We throughly enjoyed our time at the Sugar Shack! This was our first (all) family vacation in over ten years and this lovely home was the cherry on top! It had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Already planning for next year.

They were amazing from start to finish. I have a son with a serious medical condition and Brittany was able to point me in all the right directions to ease my worries. My boys are super active and spent the week in kayaks and fishing (they even bought new rods and had them shipped to the house when I mentioned that my sons loved fishing). The house is a few seconds from the beach. It is equipped with any and everything you could need for meals. We spent our days searching for shark teeth and shells. It is so obvious that Brittany and Brian take great pride in their home, and how lucky that they share it with others. There were so many nice touches, and plenty of supplies and extras that we barely had to pack a thing for a solid week of fun at the beach! Communication was top notch and they answered any questions we had, and even offered great suggestions to improve our stay. As a fellow rental host, I truly appreciated everything! Wonderful house and area! Great time. Highly recommend also renting a street legal golf cart from Breeze Rentals. Easy to get to restaurants on the key and would ride every night to see sunset.
