Our family of 9 had such a fun long weekend here and our kids have been begging to go back since! We spent the majority of our stay outside and loved all the property had to offer. Our kids love to fish and we couldn't keep them out of the creek. The house fit us very easily and we were pleased with how well itnwas stocked. We will definitely be back!!

Overall our stay, although short was amazing the property was great loved the creek and waterfall along the property very convenient and close to shops, and other cities to visit would definitely visit again

We loved this property. There's clearly great history here. The property is lovely, close to town, but tucked away enough that it is very peaceful. Our puppy loved running around the yard and pond. Our teenagers and we LOVED the ping pong! Would love to visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at cabin. It was very rustic and cozy.
The only con was I found an empty water on floor in guest room and a couple used q-tips on floor. The heat was off when we arrived and it was very cold in house.

This cottage is just what our family needed for a cozy, relaxing post-Thanksgiving getaway. We chilled in the hot tub, cooked out on the firepit, play board games on the day bed, explored the small creek, and curled up and watched movies.
The kitchen had everything we needed for a few days of cooking. And the smores ingredients the host leaves out was a special touch. Will definitely be back.

This house was absolutely beautiful, no major problems at all and Abbie was quick and easy to communicate with! Would definitely recommend and return to!

We chose this place to visit with grangchildren. There was alot for them to do and its great for just 2 adults also, very private and well kept and a well stocked kichen with every utensil supplied. Great communication when you have questions.

The surrounding areas are beautiful and inviting. Went to many waterfalls and cities: Toxaway, Cashiers , Brevard, etc…. I just did not like where the jacuzzis was located. I was looking for a snake to fall in at any minute. Woods too close to the back of the house. House had a musty smell. Beautiful stream and a small pond with fish to fed. Little too rustic for me.

Of the numerous choices in western NC, we could not have chosen a better place to rent during our family trip. It is centrally located to many areas of interest, and the property itself is fun to hang out at. Our boys enjoyed fishing the pond and stream, ping-pong at the shed, playing ball on the field, and skipping rocks in the creek. The area is quiet and secluded, but also just minutes away from Rosman and Brevard when you need supplies or feel like getting nice meal out during your stay. The areas of interest within an easy drive are too numerous to mention, but I will quickly say that we enjoyed Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, Dupont State Park, Silver Run Falls, and wandering around Brevard. Additionally, our host was gracious and very responsive to questions about the property and its surroundings. I have been visiting western NC for most of my life. It's one of my favorite regions of the country. This cottage and property are a perfect place to set up base camp for your travel to this beautiful area.

Great support from our hostess. There were some glitches, but things mostly got worked out. A very intensive week of service comings-and-goings, inaccessibility of certain items, noise, and environmental factors. Overall, we were okay with it, though.

We loved the location as well as the home and property. The home definitely needs to be more thoroughly cleaned after each guest but overall the stay was nice and relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The peace and quite was fantastic and the running stream was peaceful. We enjoyed the large front yard and playing frisbee. Communication was great and everything went smooth.

This place was awesome I have stayed at alot of high end places in my travel but this place had it all. It was fully stocked and the property itself was wonderful for a couple or family. I will definitely book again.

Great communication from host, easy check-in, cabin had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed the fire pit by the creek and the hot tub! Cabin sits on huge lot so it’s peaceful.

We enjoyed our stay, I wasn’t aware of no television to watch which was bad and good. The fish pond looked like it hasn’t been well kept. We still had a great time.

Had a wonderful time enjoying all things offered in with this property. It was very thoughtful of the owners to have wood for the fire pit. We enjoyed a game of ping-pong. And my husband loved trout fishing. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

#1. There was no hot water for showers only cold! #2. The place was not well clean, smell terrible and dog hair everywhere.

#4. Owner is terrible with customer service. We had to leave due mainly the hot water problem and she will not refund my money. Call 1800 vrbo number and they told us we have to deal with the owner! The owner said no so i had to call my bank to try to get then to help me. We had to leave the place in the middle of the night with 3 kids and find a hotel near by. 1st and last time using this app. Customer service wont help. The 100% satisfaction guarantee with virbo is a lie. Every time i called customer service they will tell me something different.

Great spot for adult family time even though it rained almost every day we had plenty to do. Outdoor theater was a little disappointing because it was dvd only would have been great to watch game and race outside but had to watch inside house. Over all we had an awesome time.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage! It’s conveniently located for day trips to nearby scenic places. Love the cottage! Very clean, welcoming, & comfortable. Loved all the special touches! And Abbie was so wonderful to work with - very helpful & responded quickly to every question. We loved the fire pit area, the creek, & the pond! My granddaughter caught her very first fish in the pond & we grilled them for supper! Such delicious freshly caught trout! My granddaughter is so proud of herself!! And all the beautiful flowers! A truly wonderful place to stay!

The covered area for ping pong and darts and just hanging out was super fun. Our dog loved exploring the place too. Also easy drive to Brevard and hikes. Recommend Sassafras Mountain lookout for sunset or sunrise. Triple Falls hike is great too. And of course Sliding Rock is a hit. Great place to unwind and unplug. I’d go back in a heartbeat!!

Perfect family getaway
If your looking for some quality family time and unplug this is the cabin for you. Watching the kids play in the creek, run around the field and coming in to play the board games provided was just what we needed. It was peaceful, quiet and a perfect place to make memories with your kids. The host was very responses to all our needs and questions. This little cabin is a hidden gem.

The stairway leading.to the fire pit , don't use.the handrail, it's very dangerous. The bed in master.is as hard.as a rock, until it warmes up with the electric blanket, which has no controls to plug it In! And.the.owner " assumed" the.controls were with the blanket. Wasn't enough wood to burn for the 8 days we were here. The house is dirty. I don't know who they are paying.350$.to clean it, but.it shouldve been Spotless! Was Not! Overall, I won't stay here.again, and never.go Through VRBO to rent again. Much cheaper to find the owner! Don't like the way they handled the problems.

We came for a weekend with our 3 children (10-16 in age) and we couldn't have asked for a more delightful place. The interior was clean and cozy, well stocked, and big enough for everyone to have their own space . Our family of four visited from out of state. It was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. The property manager shared great places to visit in the area - all were spectacular!! We also enjoyed our time on the property - fishing, playing in the field, and relaxing in the house. We would definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful time at Creekside cottage. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and communication with the owner was so easy. We enjoyed the streams and trout pond. There were lots of fun waterfall hikes nearby. The check in abs check out process were very easy. We can’t wait to come back.
