Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We experienced several issues during our 10 day stay that made this a less than ideal experience. I will say the management company was very responsive, but these issues should never have happened. 1st the towels and sheets had a musty smell. The smell you get when laundry is not fully dry before putting away. They came same day to swap out. Then the internet was not working and was not fixed until 2 days before we were leaving. They tried to get it fixed sooner but I guess the owner did not approve that solution. That was very inconvenient as I had to go somewhere else to do my daily planning, check work emails, and made it difficult for me to look up restaurant info (hours, menu, phone #). I didn’t mention any of this to the management company, but I will mention here so future renters will be aware. Upon arrival I wiped down all surfaces with Lysol wipes and every surface was dirty. The unit is right above the trash so you will be awaken very early by garbage trucks, not the roosters. There was a note on the fridge that said they provided quarters for an initial load of laundry but did not receive. The glass-top coffee table is a nuisance as we kept bumping into it. The unit is spacious but has a strange configuration with large empty open space in the middle. The cooler has seen better days and needs to be replaced. The building is on the ocean side of the street, but it’s a bit of a walk to get to the beach. A couple of positives: great shower pressure and instant hot water, good mattress, good location in Kihei

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nearly everything was perfect about this condo, except for the condition of the mattresses. The mattress on the bed was so soft it was like sleeping on a hammock, so I had to sleep on the hide-a-bed and gather all the bedding from the condo and put it down so I didn’t feel the metal rails coming through the thin mattress. Still, I had back pain the entire week I was there, and I never have back pain. Unless they replace the mattress on the bed, I won’t ever rent this place again and will not recommend it to a friend. However, if they replace the mattress, I’ll be back. Thankfully, I was traveling by myself or more people would’ve been very uncomfortable.

The location is idealy located near food places grocery stores and beaches. The property management company was very attentive courteous and helpful. We will definitely book our next stay in Maui at kahuale makai #222.

The property and condo unit were ok. The living room furniture definitely needs to be cleaned. Instructions for the tv would have been helpful. The beach is very rocky. It’s not one you would want to take a walk on or even sit at. That was disappointing. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

We have enjoyed our stay and communication with the management was great. The condo is nice, spacious and clean, located just a short drive from stores. It's a bit on the outskirts of town, so I'm glad we had a rental car. Both, the bedroom bed and pull out couch are squeaky and could use an upgrade. The beach wasn't very impressive at that area but again, with a rental we were able to explore nearby Wailea and Lahaina. Plenty of beach accessories in the condo.

Just got back from our 8 night stay. Overall I would recommend this property. I only have 2 negatives. 1) too close to Kihei Rd. In the morning, the road noise is loud enough to be annoying, especially when looking forward to a nice quiet morning on the deck. Not as noticeable in the afternoon because of the trade winds. 2) it’s very close to the trash chute. It seemed like every other day they would pick up. They pick up early morning, around 6:30am. Very noisy. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Pool is nice and the BBQ’s have to be the cleanest BBQ’s I have ever seen. Cleaner than mine. Not the best beach, but nice for the sunsets and walks.

Kitchen was well stocked, we ate all of our meals in and used the grills by the pool. Great for our family of 4. Kids are 9 and 11 and slept in the fold out couch. Great location!
