We would absolutely stay again. The living room needs a new sofa , comfort thing only. We enjoyed our stay. The activity on the lake for the 4th of July was amazing and we could see it all from our deck.

The location is great. The response from the rental company was great. With WiFi I could text but not get any calls . Loved the kayaks and fishing poles provided. Grills on both decks are handy. Very peaceful.

I took my daughter and her friend for a long weekend and we had the best time! We kayaked and we fished and we swam and found some neat hiking areas nearby. The house was perfect for what we needed! I would definitely stay again.

Charming lake cabin in a quiet location. Perfect for a weekend getaway or longer stay. Enjoyed being able to cook with my family or drive a short distance to local restaurants. Terrific location for access to Chimney Rock.

Anchors Aweigh is a magical lake house. The view of the lake is lovely. Fishing and boating from the dock is fun. And the inside is quite comfortable, well equipped, and adorably decorated! Other than a few minor maintenance issues, it was perfect!

This lakefront mountain cabin was perfect for our family. For us, the highlight was the boat house and specifically the boat house deck. We spent multiple days enjoying the sunrise and sunsets as well as the amazing view of chimney rock from this beautiful location. We highly recommend.

If you’re thinking about staying at Lake Lure this is your house. It has everything your family needs. The dock is great for jumping, swimming, and relaxing. House has all the amenities you need. The beds were very comfortable. We are hoping to book the house again in the future.

The living space was lovely as well - clean, plenty of room, cabin-like with modern upgrades, and of course... more views from that deck! We utilized the grill and outdoor eating space, enjoyed swimming/floating in the lake, and were close enough to town for a few trips for ice cream, lunch, or to Ingles to grab the groceries. We had great communication with Mara & Eric and enjoyed renting the boat for a few days as well to take in those sunsets. We chose this property for its location on the lake, pet-friendly status, reasonable pricing, and boat access. After our week there, we highly recommend it (we even spotted a few other vacation rentals we had looked at while on the boat and agreed ours was the best!) Thank you for a lovely vacation!

The check in/check out process was very easy and convenient. This is by far the cleanest house we have rented in the last few years. The property was very comfortable and had all the basic items that we needed for the week. The wifi was reliable and we were able to stream movies. The home is located in a great area by the water. We definitely wanted to stay longer.

Beautiful, clean, and cozy home in a perfect location in Lake Lure. The views from the lake are breathtaking. Our family rented the pontoon for the week but we also enjoyed a lot of our time at the boat house with the canoe and fishing. Thanks again Mara for opening your beautiful home. this was one of our favorite family vacations!

My wife and I enjoyed our 5 night stay immensely! This chalet offers beautiful views lake and mountain views from its interior, to the upstairs and lower outdoor areas, and the boat house roof. Well-appointed, clean and every convenience of home! We liked it so much, we have already reserved another week!
