Loved the cabin! So cozy with the fireplace on a cold winter weekend! Everything was immaculate and so well organized! Lovely time with my family! Communications with caring owner was a 10!!!

Gorgeous setting and vacation home. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Kayaking was fun for the whole family and late night firepits were special. Host was very informative and helpful with everything. Would highly recommend this property for a vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

Our family fell in love with Rocky Shores Retreat the moment we stepped onto the front deck and looked out onto the breathtakingly beautiful panoramic view of water and sky framed in cedar and birch trees. It's an exceptional place, inside and out. We really appreciated the lovely and organized interior living space, with its great view of the water (even from the kitchen!) and good supply of games. We were also very impressed with the responsiveness of our host, Dana, to any questions or concerns. Favorite memories include roasting s'mores by the fire pit while watching the sunset or star gazing, and kayaking to and from the Sunset Grill one evening.

We just left the most amazing vacation at Rocky Shores Retreat! There are a lot of places to stay in Door County, but I can’t imagine a more lovely place to sit by the water than this home. I was here with my husband and another couple, and we had a lovely time. The house has great amenities, a great host, and a great location on the lake. We missed in the listing that it has one bathroom, but we were glad that didn’t stop us from booking, because it was so wonderful. Your biggest challenge will be visiting without dreaming of moving to Door County!

Very cozy place, not too far away from Milwaukee, Chicago. We had a nice time despite some interesting weather.
1 toilet is def a bit of an issue, especially when it broke for day but owner was quick to get it fixed. Nice yard and views.

Dana was great to communicate with...very responsive to our family's requests in advance of our stay.
The property was just as pictured. Our boys loved dragging the kayaks to the lake every day & doing some fishing, and the kids bunkhouse was perfect. Our family enjoyed our daytrips to the busier areas of Door County, but we were always eager to get "home" to some peace and quiet. What a truly great retreat.

We enjoyed the quiet, amazing views, and well-equipped kitchen. The sunsets around the firepit at night are one of our best memories. Highly recommend!

We felt right at home when we walked in the door at Rocky Shores! Maybe it’s because it was our second time staying but also because it is so cozy and they honestly think of everything you might need during your stay. There are not words for the beautiful views and the back yard. The bunk house is adorable and fun! We love it there and can’t wait to be back. Thanks for everything!

The house is fantastic and is perfect for families. The pictures on the listing are really accurate to the actual house. Very quiet place with lots to do for people of all ages. The owner was very accommodating and easy to deal with, glad we stayed here and will definitely come back again.

Our first time using a VRBO and it was effortless. We had to change our dates after booking and Dana accommodated our request right away. Shore view was beautiful, home impeccably clean, and everything you would ever need was at your fingertips. We would stay again and bring more family.

Everything you could need was provided! Loved all the extra details like coffee pods, toothbrushes, extra pillows and throw blankets.

For a larger group, the stay was fabulous. The space is larger than the photos show, which made for a pleasant surprise. Additionally, all of the extra accommodations that went into this place made for a relaxing stay. For those wondering, having one bathroom available made things tricky, but it was plenty doable. Looking forward to coming back someday in the future, or to the other property. Thank you again.

Beautiful home on a lake with plenty of space to make some great memories. My family and I had a great time from using the outdoor fire pit to going out with the kayaks or watching the best sunset ever😊.
The kitchen has plenty of essentials, fully stock, bathroom had many towels available for our large group, nice size cozy home.
Dana, the owner was a pleasure to work with, she made it all possible. All around this place is beautiful, I am glad I was able to book this gem and we will come back in the future. Thank you so much!

School friends, now grown up and married with kids. We want fun ways to stay connected after the last crazy 2 years and hope that our kids will be as close as we were growing up. Property was great, the house perfect for 3 families- only down side was having one toilet when some kids are more potty trained then others lol. We had a wonderful time and our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Thanks so much!

We had the best time here. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, the kids loved the bunk house and the adults loved everything else. So tranquil. So we'll thought out and high quality.
Only two areas of feedback would be there wasn't drinking water, the filter tap wasn't working and it could do with a dock building as it's very rocky so would be cool to have something to sit off.

We really enjoyed our time at Rocky Shores. The location is so quiet and serene. The kids loved the kayaks and having their own space at the bunkhouse. This was hands down the most well stocked vacation rental I've ever stayed in. I've often found the cutting boards are tiny and the knvies are dull and you get one odd sized measuring cup. Not here! Everything you need is in the kitchen, even spices! Beds were comfy, everything was clean. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful outside space
Super cute cottage! We liked this area-very quiet and it was close to the marina for our boat. The outside space is charming with the big deck right on the water, nice fireside chairs and cozy outdoor lighting. Inside had everything we needed. The one bathroom was a bit tricky but worked fine. Would go back again sometime!

Perfect secluded retreat
This was the best stocked rental we have ever stayed. Everything you could think of that you might need was available. The host was very helpful and even sent us a very thorough list of things to enjoy for the 4th of July holiday! The view is beautiful and we enjoyed several sunsets. The beds were comfortable. The girls didn’t mind swimming even though the shore is rocky. I would suggest bringing water shoes if you want to swim. We had a wonderful time.

Beyond expectations
This property was supplied with more than we expected, coffee pods, dish soap, and everything was labeled and organized. I brought items I didn’t need because it was supplied, such as shampoo and conditioner.
The property was beautiful and private. It was relaxing and close enough to other towns and parks.
The kayaks were used often and with 8 adults together with only one bathroom we all survived and enjoyed the property immensely.

What a great place to stay! It had great accommodations, along with a view. It is a very quiet location, that will allow your kids to run around or for you to just to relax. I cannot recall the last time I just sat and watched sunsets.The house was stocked and very clean. The bunk beds are in separate building but a cool addition to this location. We'd come again.

Great getaway!
Cottage was clean, organized, and welcoming. The bunk room was a hit for our two boys! Spectacular views of Lake Michigan, as well as a quiet and spacious neighborhood. The wooded area across the road allowed us to see many deer daily! We would love to come back for a future vacation. Highly recommend!
