Our group stayed for an extended weekend, All adults and friends for 30 years. The house met our expectations with spacious bedrooms in each room. The kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of extra appliances. The large island was great for a large group to sit around, with the extra counter space for copious amounts of food! We did not have any small children, but this house would have it all for families. For the adults, the pool table, air hockey table, foosball table, and Shuffleboard table provided fun for our group the entire weekend. We utilized the extras the house provided, including a basket of sunglasses, on the one day it was sunny during our winter getaway. In the city of Elysian was a nice bar to grab a drink and play bags. The three separate lounge areas were wonderful to relax at different times and provided space for multiple people.

The home was very spacious and in a good location. Lots of areas for the family to spread out, sit, talk, do puzzles, TV room, kids loved the play rooms! Lots of games to play. We stayed during the winter so also enjoyed walking and skating on the lake. Summer would be great for fishing and water activities! Thank you for sharing the home for some great family time!

Location and lake great; good fishing. Could swim off dock but most would want to go a bit further into lake. No swimming from beach. Plenty of space/bathrooms for a group. Pool and game tables a hit. Laundry room and extra sink are great. Elderly mom would prefer regular height dining, but there was eating space for all in great room, even with pool table in dining area. We rented optional pontoon-pretty run down and first time we’ve ever rented a boat that didn’t come fueled up. All in/outdoor property has great potential but in definite need of basic maintenance, cleaning and attention to detail. Most frustrating was security alarm going off at random times. Reset code rarely worked. Called number given for security but never got answer or return call (also no fire dept as threatened in info) House was surface clean but not at all deep clean-ie. puddle of oil in utensil drawer, melted popsicle in freezer/mold in fridge, etc. Cabinets, closets, equipment, appliances etc need cleaning, organizing and weeding of broken/unusable items. Crockpots mentioned in listing-only one full size crockpot with no lid. Some towels, linens, and especially pillows need replaced. Plenty of outside seating but need to get rid of broken chairs and could use some comfy lounge seating. No propane in porch fire pit. Consensus of group is that a few thousand dollars and a week with a good cleaning/maintenance crew could easily take property from “okay, but for we won’t be back” to “terrific!”
